"What exactly is that?"
Mrs. Catolico explains…
"The Diaphanous Eye is a polished ball made out of clear corundum, which is quite rare around these parts.
"Like I've said before, it enables the blind to see, and it was invented at a time where optometrists weren't available.
"It is said that five hundred years ago, a magus whose name was unfortunately lost to history created the Eye as an eyesight conduit.
"He already had the piece of corundum with him, so all he did was to imbue the power of the sense of sight into it. Luckily enough, he knew someone who would be willing to do just that.
"There was a sand dragon who was nearing the end of his long, thousand-year life, and he was friends with the magus.
