Side Story 14-2: Document 72 Hours: Colony Drop Model Kit and Hobby Shop, Part 2

Day 2 beckons.

10 am.

A customer by the name of Mark Gwagz Vesginc brings his own assembled model kit to the shop.

The owner greets him, "Good morning, and welcome. May I help you?"

"I just wanted to have this painted."

"Oh, this is a 1/144 scale AKR-1042 Thunderous Dark Orchid, huh?"

"Sure is. But it's not just stock."

"Ah, yes. I remember it had no backpack at all."

"And that's why I made one out of trash. Specifically, from a defective charger. Once I got the cord and the prongs off, I first drilled holes into the charger and then placed some spare runners that will fit into the robot's back."

"Good call. So then… any color scheme you have in mind?"

"Hmm… white and purple, perhaps?"

"And the finish?"

"Just a simple matte finish."

"Weathering?"

"Nah, don't bother with it."
