CHAPTER TWENTY THREE

"Are you okay?" Simon whispered to Tristan.

Simon noticed how zoned out Tristan was in the meeting room. He could tell his friend wasn't paying attention to anything the woman at the front was talking about.

Tristan snapped out of his thought. "What did you say?"

Simon shook his head. "You seem lost, is something bothering you?" He asked again.

"Yeah. Yes," he replied, pinching the bridge of his nose.

The meeting ended and everyone left the room after coming to a conclusion. It was now Simon and Tristan in the room.

"Want to talk about it?" Simon pulled his chair closer to Tristan.

"Talk about what? There is nothing to talk about," Tristan replied.

Simon raised his brows up, using his facial expression to tell Tristan that he doesn't believe what he was saying.

"You and I know that's a lie. You were barely paying attention to what she was saying earlier and you know that. If you said you did, then what was she talking about?" Simon asked.
