The Curse of Time (Harry Potter Fanfic)

Attention: I use a translator and ChatGPT in its free version to write, so any constructive feedback is welcome. I will remove any messages with insulting content. If you have negative feedback, please share it politely. Harry Potter belongs to JK Rowling and not me. Summary: She was only two years old when her life changed. She is known as the smartest person in the wizarding world to most. To others, she is someone who willingly shares her knowledge. And to some, she’s a person who inspires envy, though they do not understand the side effects of such a curse. Information: -Our protagonist is Neville Longbottom’s older sister. -While our protagonist doesn’t possess a talent like Dumbledore’s, she has an intelligence equal to or even greater than his. -The harem will not be large (maximum of 3 or 4 members). -I am trying to base this story on the books, but please remember this is a fanfiction, so I may choose to alter some rules of this world. -I could also take a fan as inspiration for some elements but I promised that I would not copy the content. -Updates will be inconsistent, but I will try to avoid more than two days between chapters. I said TRY. -And finally, enjoy reading, and I hope it’s a pleasant experience.

The warning of Dumbeldore

At the banquet, I asked the prefect to switch seats with me so I could continue my conversation with Hermione.

Apparently, the Sorting Hat would have put him in Gryffindor if I hadn't met that girl.

"Let's hope that our meeting doesn't change the future too much."

"Evelyn, your birth has already changed history."

Why do I keep hearing this voice? Last time, it was because I was mentally exhausted, but I hope it doesn't bother me all the time.

"If it's the Sorting Hat's choice, then it must not be wrong," said Marie.

We continued eating, and at some point, the ghosts of the castle arrived, surprising some of the first years.

I noticed the Bloody Baron next to Malfoy, who didn't seem comfortable with the ghost.

"You could try asking them for information about their time—it's the best way to get the truth without any details being altered."

"Ahem - just a few more words now that we are all fed and watered. I have a few start-of-term notices to give you. First Years should note that the forest in the grounds is forbidden to all pupils. And a few of our older students would do well to remember that as well," Dumbledore's twinkling eyes flashed in the direction some students especially the Weasley twins

"I have also been asked by Mr. Filch, the caretaker, to remind you all that no magic should be used between classes in the corridors.

Quidditch trials will be held in the second week of term. Anyone interested in playing for their house teams should contact Madam Hooch.

And finally, I must tell you that this year, the third-floor corridor on the right-hand side is out of bounds to everyone who does not wish to die a very painful death."

We were mostly puzzled by Dumbledore's words because he didn't explain why we weren't allowed to go there.

"Do you know what's in there?"

Hermione had turned her head towards me and Mary.

"I don't know, but I don't think we'll meet death. We're still at a school. But this place must be particularly dangerous for us to be warned so strictly," I replied, offering my hypotheses to Hermione.

"With that said, it's high time to go to sleep."

"Well, I wish you a good night."

I left Hermione because she was going to visit the castle with the other first year before going to the common room.

Once I arrived at the eagle statue...

"Which came first, the phoenix or the flame?"

"A circle has no beginning."

And to think that Muggles always ask questions like that.

Before going to sleep, I warned Marie not to climb into my bed during the night.

She had done it several times after Halloween last year, always giving me an excuse that, strangely, made me stop being mad at her.

The next morning, we waited for Hermione to make sure she didn't get lost in the castle, though I doubted she would, given her intelligence.

I know Neville can easily get lost in the castle, so I gave him a map with all the important places and directions on how to get there, so it shouldn't be a problem.

When I arrived for breakfast, an owl came to deliver a letter from Gringotts. I had some connections there after earning so much money with my intelligence.

The letter explained that the bank had been robbed, but nothing was stolen. That's good, but the idea of robbing Gringotts without being caught sends chills down my spine.
