Chapter 9

After the lone wolf left, I got up and walked to the mouth of the cave.

I was glad to be saved by the wolf. It turned out to be a kind wolf, and I understood now why it had not attacked me the first time it saw me.

The hours passed and I went inside and lay down. Where was the wolf? Has something happened to her? From inside the cave, I could see that it was almost mid-day.

The heat was unbearable. However, it was cooler inside the cave.

I wondered where this cave was hidden in the forest. I had never heard about this place or seen it before. Would White Rose succeed in finding me here?

Suddenly, I heard loud noises of wild animals mauling, shrieking, gnarling, and gnashing of teeth coming from nearby.

I ran to the mouth of the cave and remembered the lone wolf’s warning.

Didn’t it ask me not to leave the cave?

However, as the fighting grew fierce, my curiosity grew and I slowly walked out of the cave.
