Ophelia's body stiffened. This was the moment she feared the most when she decided working for a vampire family.

His Majesty the king, despite the rumors, the loathe he has to human and how cold when he spoke to her, he never openly said it.

This lady in front of her really made Ophelia shrink like a dry sponge.

She heard that Averio had called her aunt. So this lady is none other than the princess of cobalt, Gwyneth. The king's sister.

"Who allowed you to be here?!"

Ophelia should have known from the first time she saw her.

"Forgive me princess, prince Averio asked me to accompany him to study" Ophelia dared to open her mouth because she was worried that if she just kept quiet, Gwyneth would only get angrier.

Everyone knew how much the Cobalt princess disliked humans.

Ophelia nodded. "I understand princess"

"Get out of here. As long as I'm here, you don't need to be near my nephew. I'll also take your jobdesk temporarily."

Ophelia nodded quickly. She no longer had the balls to speak.

She met Averio's face that looked like he was about to cry. Ophelia shook her head slightly, indicating that the boy would not have to cry.

As the girl was about to go out, the little prince's tears burst.

"Mommy!" he felt so sad to hear that aunt Gwynneth insult Ophelia and threw her out like that.

Ophelia stopped for a moment as Averio's small hand grabbed her dress. Prevent her from leaving.

Ophelia lowered her knees and wiped the boy's tears "sshh, don't cry" she tried to calm him down.

"what a shame!" Gwyneth's voice boomed. She

immediately grabbed Averio's hand to keep him away from Ophelia. She subconsciously gripped his hand too tightly. Gwyneth aligned their faces "What did you just call her?! Mommy?! By the gods, who taught you, Ave?!"

Gwyneth was completely dumbfounded. Not just hiring a filthy human, Cassius even allowed his son to call a servant like that?

Or, Cassius actually didn't know this yet?

'This filthy human must have brainwashed my little Averio into calling her that. Who does she think she is?' Gwyneth thought.

Gwyneth really had no idea.

The boy sobbed even more when he saw his aunt's angry face which he thought was scary and how her voice hardened frightened him. Aunt Gwyneth's glaring eyes reminded her of an evil witch.

Gwyneth turned to Ophelia "Get out of here!"

"Don't kick Lia Mommy" He defended her in a small voice.

Gwyneth turned to him and stroked her hair "Honey, she's not your mommy. She's just your servant. Don't call her that. Did she force you to do that? Just tell me honey, so your dad can fire her right away"

"I didn't do that" Ophelia couldn't help but defend herself when the accusations were leveled at her.

But when the lady's cold eyes found her again, she knew it was the wrong decision to open her mouth.

"How presumptuous you little mouse. Case will hear this. Your fate will end before tomorrow" A smirk crept onto Gwyneth's lips along with the threat.

"Averio, where is Lia?" Cassius asked his son.

Tonight the royal family were having dinner together. Cassius had invited the girl to dinner but why didn't she come. Because of her absence, his son seemed to have no appetite.

Likewise with Cassius. He wants to see her face that always makes him feel pleased.

"Aunt Gwyn drive Lia mommy out" the boy pouted. He just chopped up his food, didn't eat it.

"what?!" Cassius turned to Gwyneth.

Gwyneth sighed. Putting down her spoon and fork. She actually felt a little guilty. Because after she chased the girl away, Averio refused to talk to her.

"Let's not talk about it right now. I'm just saying she doesn't need to be with Ave anymore as long as I'm around"

"Gwyneth what are you doing?"

Cassius really didn't understand the people around him. Why are they so fond of making their own decisions lately?

Yesterday was Louis and now his sister.

"Case, you've gone too far. Your son started calling a lowly human as if she was his mom. And you allowed that?!" Gwyneth looked at her brother in disbelief.

Cassius sighed. Turns out it's just a problem as trivial as this?

"Let Averio call her what he likes as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. After all, she doesn't matter with what he calls her."

Gwyneth was furious "what?! You can't let Averio start mingling with the lower classes like that human girl, Case!"

Something cold flashed in the king's irises as soon as he heard how his sister mentioned Ophelia. Gwyneth gulped. Not a good sign of Cassius' silence like this.

"My son will become king someday. Humans are also his subjects. It's better if he knows them by mingling with all walks of life. Don't let my son make the same mistake as me"

"ah, you're starting to soften too" Gwyneth snorted.

In her mind she was starting to get so worried about the various possibilities.

'That human girl is quite beautiful. Couldn't she have used her looks to make my brother soften towards her?'

'If it is, I can't allow this. I have to make plans for Cassius' wedding as soon as possible. The sooner the better'

"and you Gwyn"

She turned to Cassius at the sound of those words.

"You must not make decisions of your own accord with my son and anyone else in my palace. Otherwise, I will send you back to your own home."
