No excuses

"Ah....this is so frustrating"Angela yelled as she entered her friend's office.Vivian who was doing something on her system stopped immediately her friend came in.

"Gela, what's wrong?"she asked

"For goodness sake I'm paying them to be my fake boyfriend,I'm paying them"Angela yelled again as she sat on the chair opposite Vivian.

Confusion was written all over Vivian's face as she could not understand what her friend was saying.

"God knows I don't understand anything you're saying.Just stop yelling and tell me what happened."Vivian said."How was it?"she asked.

"How was it"Angela repeated as a sad smile painted her face."You know I'll be smiling and not yelling now if it went well"Angela said.

"The same problem?"Vivian asked.Angela nodded.

Since yesterday night, Angela had been attending different blind date set up by her friend.She met with good guys and they all agreed but their condition was that the have sex in the relationship even though it's a fake one.This didn't go well with Angela as she did not agree to this.

"I mean this does not make sense at all.I'm paying them to be my fake boyfriend so why would they still want sex."She yelled again."Tomorrow is Mr Richard's party and I have not seen someone who can act like a fake boyfriend.....ok, I've seen people who can act but what they are asking for is too much,I can't give myself out to people I do not know and ...."She stopped talking as she looked at her friend who haven't said anything yet,"Do you have any other plan?I honestly cannot be Mr Richard's sixth wife please"Angela pleaded as she held her friend's hand across the table.

"Sorry.....but right now my brain is shut down"Vivian said and Angela flung her friend's hand.

"Ouch....why are you venting your anger on me?"Vivian asked.Angela did not answer,she just looked away as though she was thinking of something.

After sometime,she got up and carried her bag."Where are you going?"Vivian asked when she saw her friend stand up.

"I need to rest before my brain blows up.I'm going home to rest "Angela answered and left her friend's office.

When she got home,she threw her bag on her bed and sat on it.Everything that happened today just flashed on her head and she fell backward on the bed.She just kept staring up, thinking of many excuses to give her dad."What do I do?"She murmured to herself as she sighed in frustration.She stayed like that for a while before she said"God help me"and with that she got up from the bed, entered the bathroom and took a quick shower before sleeping on her bed.

Angela was woken by the alarm.She immediately switched it off because it was disturbing her.Her eyes were still closed and she was trying to sleep again when a ping from her phone made her wake.She picked up her phone to check who the message was from,she immediately sat up with eyes wide open when she saw who the message was from.Her dad.She took a deep breath before opening the message and it read;

'Good morning princess....just wanted to remind you of Mr Richard's party today.I waited for you but you didn't show up with any guy so I assume you don't have anyone.I'll send someone to take you and Vivian to the spa so you get yourself ready.I want to see you guys at Mr Richard's house by six and no excuses, okay?'

Angela threw her phone aside when she saw her dad's message.She suddenly became scared.She had forgotten a little about this but her dad's message has reminded her of her situation.She fell back on her bed harshly.

'If only I can disappear'she thought to herself.

She tried to go back to sleep but sleep was very far from her.She stayed like that for a long time, thinking of different excuses but each time she thought of something,her dad's last message flashes through her mind.She stayed awake for a long time before she drifted to sleep.
