As the money exchanged hands, cheers erupted, and the atmosphere crackled with excitement. However, the junkies remained huddled in a corner, their apprehension palpable as they observed the proceedings, simultaneously fearful of my authority yet hopeful for a share of the spoils.
"Now then," I addressed the group of junkies, my voice carrying a weight of authority. It was time to put the store I made to use.
"As I promised all those months ago, I intend to follow through on my commitment to each and every one of you. Therefore, I am happy to announce the creation of job opportunities for all present!" I declared proudly, scanning the faces of those who had once battled addiction, now standing before me.
