Chapter Thirteen: Failed (Attack on Trost: Part Three)

(Levi's POV)

"The sudden explosion caused everything to quake. "EVERYONE THE CITY IS UNDER ATTACK!" an unfamiliar voice screamed as panic arose in the building. I looked out the window at Emi getting slammed to the ground. I backed up quickly as Cadet Lulu ran towards me. "Captain! What is going on?!" She yelled as I sprinted towards the window, my body shattering it into pieces as I broke through the delicate glass.

"EMI!" I screamed as I landed on the rooftop. As soon as my foot touched the surface both Ryu and Emi vanished. Fear instantly started to drown me as I felt the air escape my lungs. "CAPTAIN LEVI!" Commander Erwin screamed as he grabbed my shoulder, aggressively turning me around to face him. "GET IT TOGETHER CAPTAIN. WE HAVE TO PUT A STOP TO THIS CHAOS!" Erwin's verbal onslaught shook me to my senses as I quickly smacked his hand off of me.

"Commander, one of my cadets just got taken by a traitor!" I explained in a panic as I felt rage begin to take over. "CAPTAIN!" He screamed. "You have a duty as a Captain of the Survey Corps to DO YOUR DAMN JOB!" He stated as I clenched my fist. "We will handle the aftermath of this later. We have to help end this." Erwin instructed as I slowly realized that I had no way of finding her now.

My heart slowly shattered as I looked up at the sky. The once colorful sky was now an ugly shade of grey. A small warm rain drop landed on my cheek. After hours of putting out multiple fires, calming the panicked public, and tallying up the number of missing people everyone came to the realization that the Attack on Trost..Was a mission Failed.
