Chapter 6

Mrs Tonia doesn't say anything after Flora exit the room and she sigh and walk up to sit beside Anita on the bed, while Favour and Esther exit the room next.

"You shouldn't be harsh with your sister. Fighting with her wasn't necessary" Mrs Tonia says as she sit beside Anita on the bed.

"I know mom, but they disrespect me too much and is getting out of hand" Anita replies.

"Is okay. I can understand, but don't change yourself, because of them. Keep being my sweet and calm daughter."

"Okay mom." Anita sigh as she stare to their mother while Glory walk up to sit on the bed too.

"I've to go now and join your father, Glory you go now and pack your bags and come join Anita here."

"Okay mom" Glory replies and she stand up from the bed and walk out from the room, going to the room she shares with Lisa, and Flora is in the room, arranging her bag of clothes and she doesn't utter any word to Glory whom step in and carries her own box of clothes out.

Lisa sigh as she return from the kitchen and find Flora in the room she previously shares with Glory and she doesn't ask any question as she also doesn't like Anita and Glory too.

Glory exit the room and walk back to join Anita in her room and Anita is busy texting Temisa while Temisa rather give her a call instead.

"Hello girlfriend, how's home?" Temisa ask.

"All fine, and yours?."

"All good" Temisa respond.

"What's up, you don't sound too happy?" Anita ask her first.

"I know, is a long story. Remember my father didn't showed up at the ceremony and now his asking of my results and telling me to submit it at the Benson group. Like you know I don't have any interest in working with them."

"What!. That's good news, You should be happy. So quick. Like you just graduated and you already have a job at your footstep, unlike us that would've to start wandering about the whole streets and companies submitting applications."

"Hmmm, You can say that, but that's not what I want, Atleast not for now and besides my results, I doubt I will get the job" Temisa complain.

"Hmph, Is well girlfriend, but be happy atleast, you have your father's support, Unlike mine" Anita rant, and the phone call goes silent for a while.

"Is okay. But truth is am not having too much high hopes in working with the Benson's groups. I know they're the most sooth after group of companies but am not interested" Temisa deadpan.

"Hmph, I know, but you can still apply. I will be submitting mine there too, but I didn't wanted to bothered you about it earlier, nor asked you to helped me talked to your father about it, Probably if I submit mine too now and they approve of me and accept me, we can be working there together and you won't be bore with office works again."

"Really, So you have plans of submitting your CV too with them?" Temisa ask.

"Yes, but I don't know your father also have plans of you working there too, I didn't wanted to bothered you about it."

"Oh!, There's no problem then, I will just submit my application and give you updates on when they approve of me, Although you know is thru my father, so no too much stress" Temisa beams.

"Yeah, lucky girl" Anita hypes her.

"Thank you, but am only submitting because you said you will, if I don't get to see you there, then I will quit" Temisa informs her.

"Okay, I will, but let's hope they accept me too, good-night," Anita end the call after Temisa respond "Goodnight too."

Anita keep her phone down and find Glory in the room arranging her box to fit into the wardrobe she previously shares with Flora and she sigh.

All her siblings her dark skin, except for Lisa, Glory and herself as Lisa is fair brown but not white like her, while Glory is brown with the rest dark.

"Did Flora asked you anything, when you went there and carried your box?" Anita ask.

"No" Glory respond and walk to sit beside her on the bed as she's thru arranging her box into the wardrobe.

"Am sorry for what happened initially" Glory apologize faintly and Anita smiles to her.

"Is okay. None of it was your fault. Let's just hope Flora, Favour and Esther stops annoying me in this house." Anita smiles as she places her right palm on Glory's hand.

"Hmph, I hope they don't.." Glory sigh.

"Is okay. So what did you wanted to discussed with me about before Flora interrupted us?" Anita ask her.

"I just wanted to asked about your university, Is it difficult studying business administration?" Glory ask.

"No, not to stressful. You just have to keep your focus high and not get distracted by guys and girls in your department that might be asking you out" Anita replies, as she turns and switches off her laptop as she's already tired.

"So you don't have a boyfriend in school or any guy that likes you?" Glory ask, surprising Anita.

"Glory!, What do you know about boyfriend?" Anita question, with wide-eyes open and Glory only smile.

"Okay, I don't have a boyfriend, because I don't want to lose focus and you shouldn't too" Anita advise her little sister while Glory continues to smiles.

"Is okay, you will show me your results for this term since I'll be around, I can be your extra coaching teacher" Anita says to her and Glory jumps up happily from the bed and hugs Anita tightly.

"Thank you big sis."

"You're welcome, Can I breathe now?.." Anita ask as Glory is almost suffocating her with her tight hugs and chubby body.

"Okay, let me go and ease myself before sleeping." Glory let go of Anita and walk to the restroom while Anita sigh and decide to play with her Android phone as is already late.

She decide to browse information about the Benson group and to know what the company is like and she types the search for the Benson group of companies and sees recent news update about the company.

She reads thru some of the recent news and sees the new handling of company ownership to Master Liam Jackson and she sigh as she stares at the photos from the companies conference hall and down to photos of the new CEO.

Lost in her thinking and search, she doesn't even know when Glory return and climb on the bed and drift to sleep.

She sigh as she hear Glory snoring and sleeping peacefully behind her on the bed and she scroll thru the timeline post of the new CEO, checking his profile page and his profile doesn't have much updates and she sigh and finally click on his profile picture, wanting to see the new boss she will be working with in future face, if her CV finally gets accepted, but as she stare at his display picture on his profile, and looking at the date it was posted, it was six years ago and he looks younger on the photo, making her to sigh again and leave his profile page to browse on how to submit her letter of application and certificate to them instead.

She finally get to see an available form of application and she check in for the available positions left.

She copies the company's email address and decides to write a letter of application to them as that's the only way to submit an application to work with the company.

As she's tired, she decide to type a fresh letter of application to the Benson group the following day and done copying the Email address, she keep down her phone on her shelf and drift to sleep on her bed.

The following morning in her home, as she wake up she hears her father screams "No!." And she immediately jump down from her bed and rush out of her room to find out what happened.

"What happened?" They all gather in the living room while their father sit on the couch and places his both palms to support his head as he fight back the urge to cry.

"Mom, what's the problem?!" They asks their mom and she shakes her head not responding and pacing up and down in the living room too.

"Father.. what's the problem?" Flora ask, as she sit beside their father and he shakes his head in regrets and wipes off the tears daring to fall off from his eyes.

"Mom?" Anita walk up to their mother and holds her hands.

"What's the matter mom?" Anita ask and Mrs Tonia finally respond, "I don't really know. Your father got a call this morning and the next moment I heard him screamed while discussing with the caller, I don't know what the problem is.." Mrs Tonia stare back to her husband seeing he's trying so hard to prevent his tears from dropping and he finally stand up from the living room couch as his already dress in his deep blue suit, ready to leave to his office work as is a fresh Friday morning, but he sigh and walk back to his room, shaking his head regretfully.

"Father!" Anita, Flora and Favour first rushes up to him but their mother quickly stops them.

"You girls should let your father be, I will talk to him and find out what the problem really is" Mrs Tonia says to them.

"Are you sure mom?" They asks in confusion wanting to see their father.

"Yes, Just give him some time, am sure he will finally let us know what the problem is."
