Wilson Heart 2

"Nothing." His father said with a straight face.

"But dad, do you accept that I should date her? You don't mind her being a tailor?" Wilson said, slowly, not looking at his father face.

His father smiled and stood up and sat on the other chair.

"Son, only your happiness matter most to us. Do we look like we care who you date or marry. Hell no. Just marry the person you love and she loves you back." His father announced, and smiled.

This time, Wilson laughed out loud as he remembered how he almost cried like a baby.

"This lady must be special? This has never happen to me before. Father, don't tell me I'm in love. That bullshit. " He asked his father.

"You cannot choose who your heart will love, my son. Love comes from the heart, "his father replied.

Wilson felt relieved and smiled.

"Enough now, back to business," his father said jokingly.

Wilson shook his head and laughed again as he moved closer to his father.

"Yes sir, he replied.

Mr. Benson and Wilson, his son, talked about business for some time. They were so engrossed, laughing without knowing the presence of a tall, beautiful, hairy figure. Apple appeared at their front. It was Mrs. Benson. She coughed out to attract their attention. Her husband and her son looked in that direction and laughed again as Wilson stood up to embrace his mum.

Mum, when did you get here? Or have you been eavesdropping on what we have been discussing? "he said curiously, as he looked at his mother's face funnily, as if he was searching for something.

His mother laughed as she looked from father to son.

Is there anything I'm missing? She asked as she sat close to her husband.

Wilson responded quickly because he didn't want her mother to find out what had happened to him earlier.

Mr. Benson laughed again as he faced her husband.

Or is it what I'm thinking? Have you finally agreed to marry Tracy? " She asked curiously.

"Hello, Mum!"I've said it's nothing. Wilson said, as he suddenly frowned at his face.

Mr. Benson quickly changed the topic by telling his wife about the new contract they just won. Mr. Benson was so happy that she couldn't remember what she had said before.

Wilson was so happy because his father helped him escape from his mum's further questions.

Wilson excused himself from his parents and said he wanted to go to his apartment to freshen up. He carried his suitcase and his blazer, which he didn't know when he was off to the restaurant. He bid his parents goodnight and left.

Wilson got to his room and the thought of Sophia crossed his mind again. He felt bad for proposing to her on the first date, and he promised himself he would try again.

Wilson got to his room, dropped his suitcase, and went to freshen up. He was not as sorrowful as before. He went to his kitchen and discovered that there was already food there. He opened it and saw that it was his favorite. He pounced on the food and finished it in no time. It was as if he hadn't eaten for days.

Wilson had the urge to call Sophia, but he waved it. The thought kept coming that he could not resist it.

So he dialed her number. He called six times, but she didn't pick up her calls, so he sent a message to her.

Wilson laid down on the bed and began to ruminate on what had happened between him and Sophia.

He began to laugh again and made a joke of himself. He didn't know when he had slept off. He got up at midnight to ease himself, and the thought of Sophia flashed through his mind again. He first waved it off by saying that he would call her in the morning, but his heart was beating as if his life depended on it, so he dialed Sophia's number again, but she didn't pick up the call.

Wilson was so worried but concluded in his mind that it was because she was still angry with him due to his wrong approach. He laid back on the bed, and after some minutes, he slept again.

He woke up by 5 and started to freshen up. He checked his wardrobe and searched for clothes. He laid his hand on the silver suit his uncle had just sent to him. He dressed up and picked up his black shoes.

He went to the kitchen and made tea. He checked for bread and found his way to the dining room. He finished his meal, picked up his car keys, entered his car, and drove out of their compound.

As he was driving, the thought of Sophia came into his mind again, so he dialed her number, yet she did not pick up her calls. He decided to open up to his friend Niel about what had happened.

He was almost at the junction of his office when his tyre deflated. He packed the car because he couldn't see where to inflate it. After all, it was too early that day. After a while, he was able to fix it and continued his journey to his office.

He got to his office and continued to clear his desk. He has many appointments because of the ones he left the day before due to his date with Sophia. His secretary came to submit the files for him to sign.

"Weldone sir, here are the files," she said calmly.

"Alright, thank you," he said.

As his secretary was about to leave, she turned back.

"Sir," she said calmly.

"Ok," he replied, still concentrating on the files he was checking.

"Sir, you are always happy and calm these days and it looks good on you," she said calmly, with a broad smile.

Wilson could not help but laugh. He coughed out and said,

"What do you think is the cause?" he replied, and raised his head.

"I don't know, sir, but there is something different about you," she said as she made to leave.

"Maybe the contract," he announced.

"I don't think so, besides you don't allow your girlfriend in your office again," she said, rushing her words.

Wilson laughed out loud, and a thought came to his mind that he should relate the issue of Sophia to her.

"Alright, can I have a word with you? It's totally not a work issue," he announced.

His secretary turns back to hear her boss out.

"Alright sir, go ahead, sir," she calmly said.

"Nothing much, if a guy proposed to a lady on their first date and she turned him down. "Does it mean she doesn't love the guy?" he asked curiously.

His secretary thought for a while before she could answer.

Hunn, it does not mean that she will not accept if the guy asks her the question after some time. It was because the guy did not follow the step, "she paused."

Which step? My marriage counselor, "he said jokingly, as his secretary laughed.

"The first step is from friendship to relationship to marriage. She concluded.

"Alright, thanks. Bring the remaining files." He responded.

"Okay, sir," his secretary said, and he walked out of his office.

Wilson was relieved because of his secretary's response. This gave him hope that Sophia would accept her. He made up his mind to follow the steps his secretary told him to.
