Date

The ringing of her phone jotted Sophia out of her thoughts. She checked the caller. It was Wilson. She quickly checked the time and discovered it was twenty minutes to the time for her date with Wilson. She picked up her call.

"Hello, pretty! How are you? I hope you don't forget about our date. " Wilson said calmly.

"I'm fine, I do not forget, though I'm quite busy. I'll surely make it, " She replied.

"Alright, don't keep me waiting," he teased, with a light laugh.

Sophia laughed and quickly packed the clothes she was sewing. And went to the shop restroom to freshen up. She packed her hair in dough form and applied a little powder. Sophia put on the dress she brought from home and dressed up. She applied a little perfume and put on her two-inch hill shoes.

Sophia went to her mirror and was pleased with the figure she saw.'I still get the shape, girl' She took the phone and her purse and locked her shop. She stood quietly beside her shop, waiting for her ride.

She checked the time; it was five minutes to five. She felt bad and blamed herself for being so lost in thought that she could not remember where the time had gone.

The cab driver assured Sophia that he would soon get to her destination. Sophia was happy and eager to meet Wilson, even though she did not know why. The cab driver manoeuvred his way out of the busy street.

Sophia checked the time every second. By that time, it was ten minutes past five. The cab driver observed Sophia's expression and knew what was going on. He stepped on the gas and speed up.

Finally, they got to the restaurant, and Sophia alighted from the car, finding her way into the restaurant. Her heart beat quick, ready to jump out of her chest. She had to hide her nervousness under a forceful smile. She walks slowly, with every step elegant and delicate.

She looked up and saw a hand waving at her from afar. Without further ado, a beautiful smile appears on her red lips. She walked slowly toward the direction, her hair flaunting over her shoulder. She saw a tall, dark-skinned, pointed-nosed figure smiling at her from a distance.

A couple of feet from Wilson, her nervousness raised another octave. Her leg turned to jelly. She almost fell, but she controlled herself quickly, while the mesmerizing smile never left her face.

Wilson was caught up in Sophia's beauty. He didn't know that she was this beautiful. She was wearing a red-flowing gown that fit her perfectly.

Sophia was so shy about the way Wilson was looking at her passionately. She could not withstand those blue eyes, so she bowed her head as she got to where Wilson was.

"Hi," she greeted softly in a sweet voice.

"H-Hello, I'm fine. Seeing you makes me better. I made my mind up when I could not see you on time. I will come down to your office," he replied calmly as he drew a chair for her to sit on.

I'm sorry, I was so engrossed with the clothes I was sewing... "she whispered, not looking at his face.

"Alright, what can I order for you?" He answered as he called for the waitress.

Wilson could not take his eyes off Sophia. He was just staring at her, which made her feel uncomfortable.

Wilson was the first to break the silence.

"I'm Wilson Benson, the CEO of MagOil Corporation." Wilson said proudly, thinking that would make Sophia fall for him.

Sophia was quite intimidated because of the work she was doing, because she couldn't get a job. Wilson noticed this and added with a short laugh. "You don't need to repeat your work. I only need to know your name. "

"I'm Sophia Benard," she said calmly as she was searching for something in her bag.

The waitress brought their order, and they stared at each other, not knowing what to say. However, Wilson gave Sophia a cursory look every few seconds, whilst she didn't dare raise her head. The awkward silence lasted a couple of minutes before...

Hmm! Hmm!

"I'm the only son of my parents, but I have two sisters. They live abroad." He paused for a while and continued, as Sophia was still looking down. Twisting her fingers in nervousness.

After a couple of minutes, Sophia regained her calm and smiled. She cleared her throat and laughed out loud. This made Wilson laugh too.

She opened her mouth but was interrupted by Wilson. "Let's eat."

Wilson digs in to his food, not raising his head. No one could guess what was running through his mind. While Sophia had her gaze fixed on Wilson's face, she noticed the long pointed nose, coiled hair, and blue-eyed figure in front of her.

She could see him so closely, and could see how handsome he was. His elongated smell drifted to her nose. Hmm! She saw the firm muscle under the tuxedo and bit the corner of her lower lip. She jotted out of her thoughts when Wilson cleared his throat. He caught her staring at him.

Sophia quickly adjusted and held the cutlery in front of her and started eating. There were some minutes of silence. Wilson tried to start a conversation, and they were talking.

"What is your favorite food?" he asked.

"Hmm! I don't have a favorite. I love good food. " She said

"Wow! "Great," he replied, raising his eyebrows.

"And your favorite color?" he asked.

"Blue," she replied, rolling her eyes. 'What with all these questions?' She brooded in her heart.

"What is your hubby?" he asked as he tried to pick up the phone from his pocket.

"Hmm, singing and reading. What about yours? " She said, tilting her head to the side a bit, looking straight into Wilson's blue eyes.

Wilson didn't avert his eyes from Sophia's enchanting gaze. Slowly, the corner of his lips raised a bit before he said one thing after another, slowly. "I love reading, researching, and...."
