The First Meeting

It was a bright day and I just woke up from the best dream I have ever had. In my dream, my beloved confessed to me and told me he loves me.

"Jane wake up! It's time to go to school" my sister, Lea called.

"Coming!" when I look at the clock on my bedside table, I can't help but feel troubled. I feel like my eyes almost popped out from their sockets. How can I wake up at seven on my first day? I am doomed. I got out of bed and prepared. It took me half an hour. Goodness! I am going to be late. When I came downstairs, my sister is all set. So I can only grab a sandwich and head to school.

"Other than you, who wakes up late on their first day?" My sister said mockingly.

"I'm sorry, Sis. I forgot to set my alarm." I felt like crying whenever I think about it. She hates being late. How can she not be mad right now?

"No worries. It happens all the time." With this, she smiled at me and comforted me. She really is the best sister in the world. Lea Elise Johnson is the famous princess of our school. She is smart, beautiful, tall, talented, and the eldest daughter of the Johnson family. Our father holds a thirty percent share of the school we were studying. Princeton Academy is the number one school in the whole of Areston. Thus, only the best and rich students in the country can enter. I, on the other hand, am not someone who likes to maintain a high profile. I feel like those people can either soar even higher or fall gravely. Even though I always ride with my sister, nobody seemed to notice me because I always make sure no one does. I am Jane Mignonette Johnson, a graduating junior high school student, while my sister is a graduating senior high school student. She is a top student, while I am an average one. Don't get me wrong, I actually, am smart. I just don't feel like being in the limelight. This is also one of the reasons why nobody suspects me of being her sister. While she is all dolled up, I look simple.

When we reach the Academy's entrance, my sister got down but I remained in the car. The driver drove to the parking basement of the Academy where I also got down the car. I have gotten used to this, and I also find this less hassle. I can just ride an elevator to go up the school's lobby. As I was walking towards the elevator, a black Porsche parked beside our car, and a tall and handsome man got down. He looks really cold and emotionless. I looked at him out of curiosity but he do look familiar. As I was staring straight at the man, I realized he was walking towards me and smirked. My eyes grew wider when he was standing in front of me and moved his face at my eye level, looking straight into my eyes.

"Slap!" Due to my surprise, I slapped the guy. It felt like my hand moved on their own. The next thing I realize, I was already running towards the elevator and pressing the door shut button multiple times. As I was running, I heard the man's driver calling him.

"Woah! What did I just do? Why are the doors not shut!" As Jane was really worried and nervous, the man was following her, even if she had slapped him, with a gentle smile on his face. Right now, he was outside the elevator and looking at the troubled girl that was covering her face and almost crying. When he entered the elevator, the door automatically closed. This made the girl stand and breathed deeply. He can't help but smile.

"I'm sorry." When a voice sounded beside her, Jane was shocked. She felt like all her cells are malfunctioning and she almost fainted. Luckily, the man have quick reflexes and managed to hold her on time. She was having cold sweats and the man was really worried. Before the elevator door opened, she fainted. The lobby was clear because everyone proceed to the school ground for the ceremony. The man carried Jane like a princess but instead of bringing her to the clinic, he closed the elevator and walked back to the parking lot. Jane's car has already left and when the man's driver saw his master carrying a lady, he got down and opened the door in the backseat.

Jane wasn't out for long. When she woke up, she was leaning close to a man's shoulder. Suddenly, the man looked at her and said,

"You haven't eaten." Jane realized who the man was and she can't help but blush. 'How can someone so handsome exist?' she thought.

"Yeah. I woke up late and I don't want my sister to be late," she answered. The man hasn't removed his hand from Jane's left shoulder while Jane is massaging her left temple. He felt like he was holding a fragile glass that can break at any moment. As the driver was stealing glances at the master and the girl, he can't help but smile. The master ordered him to drive to a nearby restaurant but when they got there, the girl was still out so he needed to find another restaurant. When Jane sat up straight, the man loosened his grip on her shoulders and handed her warm water.

"Thank You." Jane was a bit surprised that the water was a bit warm. 'How thoughtful of him."

Soon, they reached a restaurant that he have called beforehand to prepare breakfast. The man got down first and helped Jane out of the car. They entered. Everyone paid respect to the man and this has made Jane stunned. Jane walked beside the man as they head to the second floor where the food was prepared. When they reach the table, she can't help but feel excited. The man ordered everyone to go out. He pulled a chair for Jane and smiled at her. But she was so focused on looking at the food that she just sat casually on the chair pulled by the man. The man sat opposite to her and sighed.

"Eat." He sounded really cold and he regretted it afterward.

"Tsk. Why do you sound like ordering me around? But, Thank you for the food!" She then gave him a playful smile and started eating. The lady's table manner was top-class. Even though she sounded a bit silly, she is very graceful. The man looked at him with utmost curiosity with a smile on his face.

"You should eat, too." Jane looked at the man in front of her and blushed. She was really hungry to the point that she no longer minded her embarrassment for slapping this man. The man did not eat and took his phone instead. She took a picture of the girl secretly. At first glance, one may think that he is busy with his phone but when one looks closely, he was just looking at the pictures of the girl he took while she was sleeping.

It was almost noon, and they are driving back to school. The car was very silent.

"My name is Jane Mignonette. You are?" Jane looked at the man and smiled.

"Bryle" He answered coldly. But even if he sounded like it, Jane felt warmth.

"Oh, thank you for everything today Bryle. Also, I'm sorry for slapping you."

"Alright."

The drive will take almost an hour. Jane felt sleepy and the next thing Bryle saw is her sleeping.

"The young miss might be tired, young master. " the driver spoke as he was glancing through the rearview mirror. Bryle have moved closer to Jane and placed her head into his shoulder and held her left shoulder to support her and make her feel comfortable. Sure enough, Jane twisted her body a bit and hugged Bryle. Both Bryle and the driver were stunned but the driver pretended he haven't seen anything. Bryle stroked the girl's hair and smiled. The lady's scent seemed too addictive to him. She really looks innocent and beautiful. He can feel his heart thumping fast at an abnormal rate. He thought maybe, he can be greedy for once and treasure this moment.

A while later, they arrived in the Academy's parking basement. The car stopped but Jane was still asleep. The driver who was named John left the young ones in the car for some fresh air as his master doesn't want to disturb the girl. In the car, John wasn't even moving to make sure he doesn't wake the lady. His phone have been recording the moment they left. Jane dreamed that her first kiss was being stolen by some thug and so she woke up abruptly. She saw the man with his eyes closed. She slowly removed her hand and slowly lift the guy's hand that was wrapped around her shoulder but when she looked at the man again, the man scooped her with his hand. She was in a very awkward position now but worse come to worst, her face was right in front of the man's handsome face. Their lips are only an inch apart. But before she knows it, the man had held her tighter and their lips were now pressed. The man opened his eyes and kissed her. At first, it was slow but it turned deeper and more passionate.
