''Yeah…'' Calla nodded in response to his question. Her gaze was on the luscious green leaves of the lone sturdy tree, that shimmered against the reflection of the sunlight.
'Pretty…' She thought, recalling that the leaves during the fall season was also as beautiful as this.
''Are you okay with her being around?''
Listening to the familiar voice of Vincent, Calla pursed her lips, unable to give a certain reply. It would be a lie to say that she was indeed okay with her mother's presence, when the said woman hadn't even given her a reason to be happy.
''I don't know, Vincent…'' She murmured, her voice audible for the ears of the man by her side. The person in question was her mother. Someone who had given birth to herself and her twin sister.
Yes, she was indeed uncomfortable with the said woman, but Calla just couldn't voice out her thought. Wouldn't that make her an unfilial daughter?
