"Oh." Clara slowly nodded in realization, then hurriedly shook her head. "Let's go," she said with a soft smile and Carl nodded while smiling back at her, then started driving again.
Clara's eyes landed on their intertwined hands again and she bit her lips to suppress the giggles that were trying to escape, and several minutes later, they finally arrived at his house.
Carl walked out of his side and went toward the other side, then opened the door for the girl whose eyes had not left her palms.
After walking out of the car, Clara glanced up at him again and watched as he closed the door then started walking away, and she slowly followed behind him to the house.
When they entered inside, her eyes wandered around the living room and she sighed inside, still finding the place familiar, just like last time.
Her thoughts wandered to the last time she was here and the expression on his mother's face and she chuckled inside.
