Chapter Forty Two: Excruciating Pain

Now that everyone feels like I should find a way to get close to the alpha to win his heart, that is a crucial ingredient, if I may even use such words in this narrative, but as it is right now, I have no other choice. 

My wolf, Sarai, had been moody all day. I have tried all means to get her to speak to me.

"What's wrong Sarai? Is there something you are likely to say to me?" .... Her silence was worse than her insults. 

I feared her silence more.

"I can't say how I feel right now, but I feel like there is a void within me that has to be filled."  There were a lot of emotions dancing around her words; they made it more tense and ignited the tension between us right now. 

"What void are you talking about? Do you want to go for a run?" I didn't know what else to say or speak of about this. I was beginning to feel overwhelmed by this rush of heat. I looked at the windows that were still wide open.
