Shoveling Away

France, December 20th 1803

8:13 PM

Johan and Luther were back to the camp. They were practically dragging themselves, panting as sweat streamed down their foreheads.

Johan turned his head to Luther. "Why did we even assume Lukas was there?" he asked.

Luther shrugged. "Well, it's not that far-fetched. We know him, and we know he'd do that," he replied.

Johan nodded his head while panting. "Yes... we didn't see him in the village, though... and if he's going to do something, then just let him be, I don't give a damn!" he said.

"What are you two doing?" Lukas asked, calmly walking towards them.

Johan suddenly widened his eyes, and darted to Lukas. "Where the hell were you?!! We went to the village to see if you were there pulling off some of your... some of the... the things you do, you know?" he said.

Lukas nodded his head. "Yeah, I understand," he glances at Luther. "You also went there, Luther?" the blonde boy asked.
