Payback
Rose acted. She drew her wand and sent a magical cover towards Maya. Maya swerved and missed the outstretched claws of the zombie.
"Stand back," She yelled.
Rose watched her swing and miss the zombie. This zombie looked really different from the ones they had met before. For one thing, the speed was excellent and the response speed was immediate.
"Don't move."
Rose was caught by Asher. She stood still and watched Maya deal with the zombie. Her moves were like watching a martial arts movie. Beautiful and deadly.
Maya was losing.
Just when Rose was about to move, a team descended. They came from the sky.
They had the zombie under control.
"Should we erase their memory?"
Maya shook her head.
"Thank you for calling me. You did a great job."
She ruffled Rose's hair.
"And you did a good job by not moving. You could have been hit by the zombie. We are trained in combat."
"Asher told me to stay still."
