Introducing Somi Part 3

Mio was caught off guard by Alice's sudden outburst, but soon her shock turned into a light chuckle as she unconsciously raised her hand and patted the woman's head. As for Alice, she was so shocked about this that her body froze in place as if Magic was cast on her, she didn't move an inch from her spot as she just let Mio caress her head.

"Now that you said that, you have a good point. You'll make a good mother in the future; the person who will marry you will surely be lucky." Mio said with a light smile on her face as she said all those words without being embarrassed, while the person she said those words to was already red as a tomato. When she finally got the courage to look up at Mio's face, she saw her looking at her with a kind of gaze that she was all familiar with. Mio was currently looking at her as if she was her Mother right now.

This fact confused her a bit because she knew that she was older than her, she was almost double her age, but for some reason, Mio was looking at her with the kind of look that only her parents would show her.

'Why is she looking at me like that? Does she somehow see me as a little girl?' Something inside Alice flared up, the embarrassment that she felt earlier dissipated as it was not replaced by irritation by the woman standing in front of her.

She couldn't believe that Mio was looking at her and seeing her as if she was a little girl, she was older than her by 25 years old, so there was no possible way that she could see her as a little girl. But for some reason, she did. That means she didn't care about her age at all, she was simply looking at her like that. But even with that kind of look, Alice didn't say anything as she just turned around and walked away without looking back at Mio anymore.

But her actions now caused Mio to be confused because she just felt like Alice got mad at her for something, but she doesn't even know what she did to make her angry. She only patted her head and teased her a little after hearing how thoughtful she was towards Somi whom she only met.

"Does she hate being touched by strangers?" Mio asked herself, but soon she dismissed that thought and followed Alice to go see the other Teachers where there was a camp nearby that had been set up by the Heroes who finally arrived to help in the situation. And when she arrived, she was immediately bombarded by everyone, she even had to push Somi away so that she wouldn't be caught in it.

"Stop all of you! The Hero Association will now take care of this matter, so please make some space while we speak to Miss Mio." It was then that one of the Heroes opened her mouth which silenced everyone on the spot. It was filled with coldness that would make anyone hear it to follow her words.

"Miss Mio, if you could please follow us, it would be much appreciated." The woman said to which Mio just nodded as she followed her and went inside one of the tents.

But soon after she entered, she also saw Alice entering the tent with her, it seems that she was also invited because she was the Principal of the Academy, but if she were to guess. That wasn't the real reason why, it was because of her Status.

When they were inside, Mio was met with a few people, and instantly Mio knew that this person were some officials of the Hero Association. But she didn't care, she didn't care even if they were the top people in this world, so she simply just sat down without even talking and looked at everyone.

"Is this how the Teachers of "Dynasty of Death Academy" treat people? Then I must say, you lack standards and respect towards your Seniors." An old man sneered as he watched how nonchalant and indifferent Mio was towards them, they didn't even receive the slightest acknowledgment from her. It was as if she didn't care for who they were.

"Are your parents still alive?" Instead of apologizing, Mio had only one question for the old man which only made him angrier, but before he could explode in anger, Mio spoke again.

"If so, then maybe you should go back to them to live with them for a few more years, I believe that it will help you. Maybe they can teach you what is the true meaning of respect and standards. Or maybe…. They are just as trash as you, a person who has no standards and respect?" Mio made sure that her point was clear as she cut the person making him shut up.

As for the rest, no one could believe that Mio just talked to him like that. She just basically insulted his family face-to-face. At this point, Alice who was also inside couldn't even say a word because she was so shocked and fearful that Mio might offend this person. So she then opened her mouth to say something.

"Elders, please don't hold a grudge against my Staff, she is just too affected by the sudden appearance of the Gate which made her mood like this. So please understand." Alice tried to explain.

"No, you don't have to explain something here, Principal Alice, we'll handle it ourselves. Do you have something against me, young lady? Cause I feel like the moment you entered, you don't like me." The old man silenced Alice and asked after getting his composure back.

"No, I don't hate you. The one that I hate is… the Hero Association." Mio wasn't afraid to tell the truth as she blurted out.

The silence was brought upon the tent as the only thing that everyone could hear was the sounds of everyone's breath as they simply couldn't believe that there was actually a person who dared to say that. No one has the guts to say it and if there were some, there was no way they would say it to the officials of the Hero Association because it seems like it was wishing for death.

The Hero Association today is one of the oldest and strongest Powers that is currently standing on Earth as they are the ones who control the actions of Heroes. Some might say that they are even stronger than the government of the current Earth because of just how much power they hold. With that, of course, they would be shocked when someone actually had the guts to come out and say that she hates the Hero Association.

"Is that really something to be shocked about? I mean… all of you here are a waste. Even trash is better than you since some trash can be turned into something useful. But you people? Nah, all of you are a bunch of worthless people." Mio was merciless with her words which made Alice step up as she closed her mouth with her hand to stop her.
