Battle at the Altar

Inside the altar, screams of a man's voice can be heard. Dracula just finished off another victim. His neck was bleeding rapidly. Dracula's fangs were full of blood, and they were dripping off his chin. He wiped his chin. Then he looked at the coffins. "Tomorrow night, it will be your turn, mortals."

Sakume, Hirata, and the police squadron hid amongst the trees and other things outside of the altar. Hirata gave the signal. Two officers move to the rear of the building. Two went to the front door, standing on the side of the doorway. Then Sakume and Hirata came up to the wall, next to the door.

"Faith, I'm almost here." he said.

"Okay, this should be quick and swift. Dracula is only one man...err, vampire."

"Hirata, I want to do this by myself."

"Say what?"

"Earlier, Dracula humiliated me. I must show him my knowledge of the sword."

"Sakume, you are out of your mind! He's a vampire, you can't take him alone."

"My sword can. If I do not come out within 10 minutes, then you guys come in. Understood?"

Hirata realized that there's no point arguing with this guy, he always has to have it his way. "Understood."

Sakume opened the door and went inside.

Ritoshi observed, sitting on a tree. "Going inside alone? What are you thinking?"

The detective walked through the big rooms of the complex. Eventually, he arrived at the place where the coffins were being held. "I found them." Sakume proceeded to open the first coffin. Inside was a girl, tied up, her mouth taped, and unconscious. Sakume took a good look around, there were about 10 - 15 coffins. "Geez, look at all these coffins. How much blood can this guy take?"

"More than you think, detective."

Shikura suddenly turned around. "Dracula."

"I must commemorate you, you have found my resting place. You certainly are a detective."

"It wasn't that hard. Your two kidnapping buddies told me most of what I needed to know."

"Those two simpletons are worthless. They are just some greedy beggars, willing to lick my boot at the sight of money. They are just pawns."

Shikura drew his sword. "I must say though, using humans to do the dirty work for you is pretty low, even for you."

They fought. Sakume slashes. Dracula jumped and landed behind him. Sakume kept slashing, Dracula dodged. Whoosh.

Schleb! Dracula's claws dove into Sakume's chest. "UGH!" He stumbled backwards.

"Hmmm, I wonder how your blood tastes, detective."

"You're not laying your dirty fangs on my blood, son of a bitch."

"You will watch your language, mortal!" Dracula charged.

Slash! Dracula caught the blade in between his palms. Sakume was surprised. The vampire smiled evilly. He twisted the sword sideways, then kicked Sakume in the face. Whack! He continued with a combo attack.

Sakume was down and panting for breath. Dracula got his claws ready for the next assault, and suddenly, wham! He was pushed away by Ritoshi.

Shikura got up. "You're the guy I saw from the cemetery. Why are you helping me?"

Ritoshi: "Let's save the introductions for later."

Dracula got up. "Rawwwr! Another one? No matter, I will kill both of you right here and right now."

The swordsmen got ready, and charged. Slash, slice, swipe! Dracula dodged. Sakume and Ritoshi attacked one after another, overwhelming the vampire. He was hit in the shoulder. He hissed and then ran away. The swordsmen chased him.

Shikura: "Damn this son of a bitch is fast."

Ritoshi: "Vampires are normally stronger and faster than we people are. But we're exceptional."

They lost sight of Dracula.

Faith was lying on the bed, face flat, still tied up as before. Dracula came and pushed away the curtains. Faith looked at him frightfully. "You're coming with me." he said.
