<Two years later, September 2042 - Arbyshire, England>
After the Matthews' Boulangerie went officially bankrupt, all the buildings and branch shops were seized by Dominion Equity Bank.
Prior to its fall, it was extremely successful. The freshly-baked goods were popular with both the small-town as well as big-town residents. A lot of people bemoaned its unexpected collapse.
The hole left by Matthews' Boulangerie continued to persist for years. It was not easy to forget, because people's eyes were automatically drawn to the empty buildings in which doors and windows were shut off with wooden boards.
That was why it was also the residents who first took notice when a change happened.
The first shop that opened up was the one located in a mixed-use building in one of Arbyshire's busiest areas.
One day, a bunch of workers arrived early in the morning to remove the wooden planks, clean the entire building, paint the chipped door and windows, and also take out the trash.
