The Creature

Bellezza opened her eyes and saw her mum standing closed to two women across the room They were discussing before they saw her.

"Belle dear, how are feeling?" her mum asked with a guard expression.

There was a dull ache still in her back but she was so much better.

"I am better mum" she replied.

The door opened.

A police officer walked into the room. He was a young man in his mid twenties. With a cap in hand and shoulders sloped. He wore a smile immediately he saw Belle.

"Good morning officer", her mum greeted.

"Morning Mrs. Addison, you called me here. You said it's was an emergency".

"Yes I did , Take a seat my daughter said strange things before she passed out three days ago, I think she might be of help to the case of Jove Cooper".

"Okay, excuse me he said to the nurses. It's a private matter, if you don't mind" He said Pointing at the door.

The nurses understood at once that the police man needed privacy and they left.

"Hi Bellezza, my name is inspector Paul Dalton, am also your mum's friend" he said with confident.

"Can you please tell me what happened the day you went over to sleep at Jove's place".

Bellezza looked at her mum who nodded her head in agreement. Her heart sank. She turned her face to the wall side to avoid his gaze.

Bellezza hated herself at that moment. Why was she acting weird.

"Are you happy that your best friend is Dead ?

Don't you want justice for her?"

"It's better we don't search for the killer" Bellezza sobbed. "The man was so fast that I don't know when he caught up with Jove". She narrated the story to the police officer who listened carefully.

"The man you saw moved so fast and he had fangs? He drank Jove's blood is that what you are saying" Mr. Dalton stared at her in disbelief.

"Yes, I wanted to help Jove but it's was too late I couldn't, that's how I escaped".

"So this good Samaritan you met on the road closed to the forest , do you know his name or his address? He could be of help to us".

"I don't know anything about him, that was the first and last time I saw him" .

"My baby went through all this alone , am so sorry I wasn't there to support you" Her mum hugged tightly….

"I wish I could see my Jove once more to tell her how sorry I was".

"Am sorry you lost your friend, but I still have a question to ask. Can you recognized this man's face? I mean the creature..."

"I didn't really his face".

"If you saw his face, this will be a lot easier" Belle her mum added.

"His hair was covering his face , everything happened so fast. But I think can try".

"Okay, I will send in my men and the artist please do cooperate to clear your name"

Inspector Dalton Rose and left the room.

He was still driving, when suddenly he heard his phone rang. He tilted his head to the side and looked at his phone screen.

Samuel

Erebos picked up his phone and swiped the green bottom to receive the call.

"Hi cousin" came the voice from the other end of the...

"Am still driving Samuel, am on my way home".

"I know, is not like you are going to die when you get into an accident or something"....

"Am going to end the call, if you keep on saying rubbish" he warned.

"You need to get home quick for Vanessa's sake".

"What happened there? Are you okay?" His voice came out alarmed and panic stricken at his cousin's words.

"Just get home quickly Erebos, I will explain it to you when you get here". The call ended.

He ran a hand through his ruffled hair and bite his lower lip. Erebos was feeling so frustrated at the moment.

He knew his cousin has got himself into trouble. He hoped it's doesn't involved the police nor any human this time.

With this thought in place he increased his speed, going at 263mph.

Erebos arrived not too long at an old house in the middle of the forest. He got down from his car as quickly as possible, he looked around to see if anyone had followed him on his way to the house.

Using his primal powers, He appeared at the front door in less than two seconds which will take an ordinary being four minutes to make his way to the door.

He turned the doorknob. The door opened wide.

The living room was quiet. its had a huge sofa, a library, a television set and glass table at the centre.

He looked around he saw no one . He called out his cousin's name

"Samuel are you home?"

A young teen boy raced down from the stairs in a flash to where Erebos stood and laughed.

"Welcome home cousin, I missed you."

"Are you fine ? Where is Vanessa?"

He hugged the boy.

"Here am I my dearest Erebos".

A lady walked into the room. She was a young beautiful blonde who looked like she was in her early twenties. She wore a black long sleeves shirt with a trouser and an ankle shoes to match.

She came forward and smiled at him.

"Aren't you going to hugged me?"

Immediately he grabbed her hand bringing her closer he kissed her. "I thought you were in danger but it's seems everyone is fine".

"We may not be hurt now but who knows for tomorrow?" Samuel flashed a smile as he sat on the sofa.

"Erebos Why did you let the other girl escaped?" Vanessa asked.

"I couldn't catch up with her that's why" he lied.

"What?? Am not buying that you Know it" Samuel snarled at him and grabbed an empty glass. He opened one of the blood bank and poured it into his cup and drank.

"he let her escaped on purpose , you even gave her a ride in your car".

"How did you know that ?" His jaw dropped opened in shock.

"I followed you that day, after you fed on her friend". "I was with you at every step you took". She looked into his eyes to see his expression.

"Vanessa I couldn't hurt her at that time, she lost her friend and she was devastated".

"When have you started been emotional towards those humans?"

Erebos didn't answer. He walked to the fridge and opened it. He brought out a blood bank and emptied it to his mouth.

"This is serious Erebos" Samuel restored the silence. "Have you seen the newspaper?"

"Take and have a look" Samuel threw the paper at him.

Erebos grabbed the newspaper and saw a headline boldly written:

MAN WANTED!!!

with a scary picture of some one that looked like him.

"You should have killed her, she knows too much and it isn't good for us".

"Sooner or later the humans are going to figure out what we are and they won't stop hunting us".

"I won't let's that happen!" He said forming a fist with his hand.

"Even if it means killing each one of them, I don't care!"

"There is no need for you to kill everyone, just Kill the girl and all our worries will be gone" Vanessa advised him.

"Why?!"

"Because she knows too much Sam".

Are you sure that's the right thing to do? Samuel asked him. "Bro don't make decisions in a rush..."

"She has to die" Erebos bawled at him.
