"So, those fools are planning to get rid of my son and me?" Kemono asked with narrowed eyes as she glanced towards the purple-haired woman standing beside her. Kemono and Roberta were having a chat behind the garage while the others were preparing to leave for their small excursion.

"No, not exactly. They are simply planning to remove Daichi-sama as Leader, they think that by removing him from the position, they would be able to control you" Roberta explained with a stoic look on her face and Kemono stared at Roberta like she had grown a second head.

After a few moments of silence, Kemono burst out laughing. "Bwahaha!! Really? They really think that they can control me?" Kemono wondered aloud. She couldn't believe that these people were so delusional. Even the Government couldn't control her, so how were these weaklings supposed to? This was the best joke she had ever heard.

"That is what they think, Kemono-sama" Roberta added in an indifferent tone, but the corners of her lips were twitching violently. She really wanted to laugh, but she couldn't. She was a diligent maid, she couldn't break her character all of a sudden.

"Haha… I see. So, how are they planning to carry out this coup?" Kemono asked in an amused tone. "For now they have decided to lay low. They are waiting for Daichi-sama to mess up and when he does, they will speak up and try to get everyone to see the truth that he wasn't a fitting leader from the beginning" Roberta revealed their plan, but she couldn't hide the venom in her tone. How dare those weaklings plan against Daichi-sama, she would slice up those two bitches, and then make those bastards eat the pieces.

"Roberta-chan, you are leaking your killing intent" Kemono reminded the maid and the purple-haired woman quickly regained her composure with an embarrassed look on her face. "For now, keep an eye on them, if their plan changes into something lethal then I will snap their necks, consequences be damned!" Kemono growled menacingly as her flames erupted from her hands.

"So, we are not going to do anything to them?" Roberta asked as she tilted her head in confusion. After all, this wasn't how Kemono usually dealt with problems.

"Roberta-chan, you are not getting the whole picture… Haven't you heard the saying, 'Keep your friends close and your enemies closer', that is what I am doing. Killing them would have been less bothersome, but they are pretty amusing. I am going to let them live as long as they can amuse me… As soon as they stop being amusing, I will turn them into ash" Kemono grinned viciously as the flames around her hands intensified.

Roberta simply nodded her head and decided to follow Kemono-sama's orders. "But if their plan changes into something lethal, get rid of them" All of a sudden the smile on Kemono's face vanished and she spoke in a cold tone. Now, this was the Kemono-sama Roberta knew. Roberta softly smiled and nodded her head.

"Roberta-chan, I want you to stay behind and guard our base" Daichi said and even though Roberta didn't show it on her face, she was frowning on the inside, but at the same time, she couldn't help but feel excited. This is what she wanted, being used by Daichi-sama and tossed away when he no longer needed her. Thankfully, Daichi had no idea what was going through Roberta's mind, so Daichi decided to explain why he wanted her to stay back.

"Listen, the reason I am asking you to stay back is because I trust you" Daichi said with a serious look on his face. Roberta felt her heart flutter at the compliment, she knew that Daichi-sama trusted her, this wasn't the first time he had said this to her, but no matter how many times she had heard it, she couldn't help but feel giddy. Either Daichi didn't notice the glee in Roberta's eyes or he simply ignored them and decided to continue.

"After last night's incident, I am sure that I have created a division within the group and there is a good chance that they might try something. I need someone like you to keep an eye on them. Additionally, Umko-san is also staying behind, and to be honest, I don't trust him. He might try something with Sato-san, no matter what she had done, she is now an asset of our group and I don't want my asset damaged" said Daichi, and his features finally softened.

"There is something else I want you to do…" Roberta was slightly surprised by Daichi's sudden tone change. "You were an assassin, right?" Daichi asked and Roberta's eyes grew wide in surprise. Roberta's thoughts immediately started to spiral down to the negative side. She started to wonder if Daichi would start hating her, now that he knew her old profession.

"Daichi-sama, I…" Roberta began to speak, but Daichi placed a finger on her lips to stop her from speaking anymore. Even though she knew that it wouldn't mean much, she still wanted to apologize to Daichi.

"There is no reason to apologize or feel bad, Roberta-chan. I always had a suspicion, but I never said something. Did you really think that I would start hating you all of a sudden just because I discovered that you were an assassin?" Daichi raised his hand and flicked her forehead for being stupid. Roberta was completely taken aback by Daichi's reaction, but at the same time, she was extremely happy. "I love you Roberta-chan" Daichi added and captured Roberta's lips with his own.

After a short but affectionate kiss, Daichi finally pulled back. "I want you to check the people living inside the house where Maresato-san's husband was killed" Daichi finally revealed what he wanted her to do. Roberta immediately nodded her head in understanding. "Good, then I will be going. Take care, Roberta-chan" Daichi said and he pecked Roberta on her lips before walking away. Roberta continued to watch Daichi's retreating back, and slowly a gentle smile appeared on her face…

After that, without wasting any more time, Daichi quickly divided the groups. Daichi knew that Bella would have been more useful with his mom as Bella could shrink down objects, making it easier for them to carry, but if Bella wasn't with him then he wouldn't be able to finish his Job Requirements. So, Daichi decided that his team will rendezvous with his mom's team after they were done with their own task.

Daichi's team consisted of 4 members including himself. The other members of his team were Bella, Saeko, and Yuriko. Daichi would have taken either Tsukomo or Aoba, but the two of them were extremely annoying so Daichi decided to send them with his mom. They wouldn't dare annoy her and if they did then good riddance. After all, it was for the greater good. Kemono's team also consisted of 4 members and Kohta was also a part of Kemono's team.

At first, Daichi wanted to bring the other members too, but ultimately he decided against it. Level 1 Zombies have become pretty common, and Level 2 Zombies have also started to show up. They would be slaughtered in a matter of a few seconds if they fought against a Level 2 Zombie. Since Kemono has been fighting with her bare hands, Daichi decided to give her the Zombie claws. She could at least find some use for them and for the time being, he decided to keep the knife for himself.

"So, where are we going?" Yuriko asked as she grabbed the driving wheel. Daichi decided to take the Humvee while his mom decided to take the Hummer. For now, they decided against using the school bus since they didn't need it in the first place.

"Hmm… How well do you know this city, Takagi-san?" Instead of answering Yuriko's question, Daichi questioned back. Daichi was somewhat familiar with the city, but there was no way that he knew everything here. Yuriko thought for a moment before answering.

"…I think I know this city pretty well" Yuriko answered with a thoughtful look on her face.

"Ok, then take us to the biggest gas station you know" Daichi said and without wasting any more time, Yuriko shifted the gear and pressed down on the throttle. Surprisingly the streets were pretty empty, only a few Zombies were lurking here and there, but due to the abandoned vehicles, maneuvering through the city was quite hard. They also got to see quite a few people running down the alleys. After nearly an hour, they finally arrived near a massive intersection and there was something weird floating right in the middle.

"Stop!!" Daichi exclaimed and Yuriko also slammed her foot on the brake pedal after hearing Daichi's order. "The fuck is that?" Daichi said and pointed towards the thing floating in the middle of the intersection. Yuriko had also seen it even before Daichi pointed towards the thing, but at first, she had thought that it was probably nothing important.

"That looks quite similar to a QR code, at first I thought that it was some type of advertisement balloon, but now that I have seen it closely, I don't think that it is the case" Yuriko muttered as she continued to stare at the QR code floating at the middle of the intersection.

"QR code?" Bella asked from the back with question marks floating over her head. Daichi wondered if that was also a Spell or his imagination.

"I will explain later, let's check it out" Daichi said and jumped down from the car with his trusty pipe in his hand, after all, if he wanted to check out the QR code, then he needed to deal with the Zombies roaming on the streets…
