Roberta's Task (I)...

Next Kanae introduced Daichi to Kabato Omaeda, the boy's Skill was somewhat similar to Kemono's Skill, but his Skill was much weaker than Kemono and he could only shoot 7 fireballs before he needed to wait for his Mana Reserve to fill up. Daichi nodded his head in understanding. "I see… The two of them must have been nice people" Daichi praised. Kanae didn't know if Daichi's praise was honest or not, but she still decided to give him a grateful nod. After that, Daichi asked her to continue with the introductions.

So, Kanae moved on to the next member of her group. Kanae introduced him to Janto Aya, apparently, she came with a name written on a letter inside her basket. Aya's Skill allowed her to create potions, just like Saya. Both of their Skills were exactly the same. Until now, Daichi didn't know if two people could have the same Skill, but he finally received the answer to his question. Daichi knew that his Skill was different since his Skill was a Unique Skill.

After that, Kanae introduced Daichi to Tawata Haru, his Skill allowed him to sense enemies… Well, his Skill wasn't simple like that. To be exact, his Skill was called Hawk-Eye and it allowed him to scout his surroundings. His Skill was designed for scouting. He was the one who was keeping an eye on the streets. He was easily able to keep an eye over all the sides even though he was standing on a single spot.

Next Kanae introduced Daichi to Tawata Jiro, her Skill was called Technomancer. Her Skill allowed her to control any electronics around her without touching them. Daichi found another diamond in the rough, her Skill was going to be extremely useful if nurtured correctly. Even though they were going through an Apocalypse, humans weren't going to regress back to the Stone Age. Even if humans couldn't develop the technology, there was no way that they were going to lose their current level of technology.

And finally, Kanae introduced Daichi to Kabato Souta, his Skill allowed him to absorb Mana and transfer it to someone else, but his Skill had a cooldown and he could only use his Skill once in an hour. Kanae has been using his Skill to refill her Mana Reserve during the fights. At this moment, Souta could only collect 500 Mana, but it was okay, he could possibly collect even more Mana in the future.

Now that the introductions were over, Daichi asked Kanae's group to help them fill the food inside bags while he decided to go and call Bella… After all, he needed her to shrink everything, or else, there was no way to carry so many bags…

"Kyoko and I are going to keep an eye on the outside. Marikawa-san, you can keep an eye on the wounded boy for the time being and the two of you take a break" Roberta finished as she glanced toward Sara and Emiko. The two women looked at each other and then they turned back to Roberta and released a snort.

"Who made you the Leader?" Sara questioned as she looked at Roberta unhappily.

"If you don't want to listen to me then you can do whatever you want" Roberta shrugged dismissively. She didn't care about what the two of them would be doing, she simply didn't want either of them stumbling into the balcony while she was gone to finish the task given to her by Daichi-sama. It was of utmost importance. Sara and Emiko did not have retorts to that.

"Don't worry, I will do what you said~" Shizuka cheered in a sing-song tone. Even though Roberta found Shizuka kind of annoying due to her airheadedness and the insane size of her breasts, she was glad that Shizuka wasn't like either Sara or Emiko. She could at least follow orders without complaining… much.

Roberta finally turned toward Kyoko… "Let's go" Roberta said and Kyoko got up without saying anything. Kyoko did not mind what was asked of her as she knew that she was kind of useless when it came to fighting, so she was going to help in any way she could.

The five of them had just finished having lunch. Currently, Saya and Anoi were keeping an eye on the outside, and it was almost time to relieve the two of them, after all, the two of them also needed to eat food. Without turning back to give another look at either Sara or Emiko, Roberta left the kitchen followed by Kyoko. Roberta knew that leaving the two of them like that was a risk, after all, there was a chance that they might run with the food, the weapons, or both.

But therein lay the problem, there was no way that she could keep an eye on them all the time. After all, she was given a task by Daichi-sama and that took priority over everything else. Though Roberta wasn't worried about the weapons, in fact, she wanted them to run away with a couple of weapons, if they do plan to run away. All the weapons weighed more than a kilogram. So, if they did run away with the weapons, then she would be able to easily track them down without any difficulties.

Roberta and Kyoko finally arrived at the balcony and as soon as they arrived, both of them were noticed by Anoi and Saya. "Hah! The two of you are finally here" Saya sighed as she got up from the floor. "Let's go, Umko-san" Saya said with a huff as she glanced toward Unko from the corner of her eyes. Saya was arrogant and anti-social, but she was slowly changing as she needed to fit in with the world if she wanted to survive. So, even though the previous her wouldn't have talked with Anoi, right now, she didn't have any problems doing that.

"Yeah, let's go" Anoi agreed with Saya, he was also feeling hungry. He slowly got up from the floor, with the intention of following Saya to the kitchen.

"Takagi-san, can you take some food for Maresato-san and Alice-chan?" Kyoko requested and Saya agreed with the request without any complaints. Saya could guess what the mother and daughter were going through. After all, she was also going through something similar. Even though her own mother wasn't that forthcoming with all the details, Saya could easily guess exactly what has happened. Her father had decided to choose strangers over his own wife and daughter.

That was a bitter pill to swallow, Saya knew that her father was an extremely prideful man, but she never expected him to do something like this. Yuriko had made it clear that she was never going back to that man and Saya also agreed with her. Saya knew that her mother was badly hurt by her father's actions and she was too. Who wouldn't be if they were in their place?

After Saya and Anoi were finally gone, both Roberta and Kyoko decided to sit on the floor. A few minutes, passed in complete silence as the two of them kept staring at the streets. Kyoko was feeling kind of nervous due to the silence, but she hid it well. After a couple of minutes more, Roberta finally decided to speak up. "Kyoko, I need your help" Roberta spoke with a serious look on her face as she turned toward Kyoko.

At first, Kyoko was slightly surprised, but she quickly calmed down. "What is it?" Kyoko asked, her nervousness, now gone. She was only nervous because Roberta wasn't saying anything and Kyoko thought that she might have done something to earn her ire, but clearly, that wasn't the case…

"Daichi-sama has given me a task and I need to leave the house to complete it" Roberta said in a monotone. "The problem is, there is no way that I could have sneaked out without alerting the others. Since Daichi-sama trusts you, I decided to trust you too…" Roberta explained.

Kyoko was slightly worried as she didn't know anything about the task given to her by Daichi, but from the way Roberta was speaking, Kyoko very much doubted that Roberta was going to reveal anything. "What do I need to do?" Kyoko asked with a look of determination in her face. Even though she was quite curious about the task, she decided not to pry.

"Nothing, you just need to keep your mouth shut" Roberta shrugged. She did not want much from the woman except for her silence on the matter.

"What if someone comes?" Kyoko asked with a hint of concern in her voice. Roberta rubbed her chin as she realized that Kyoko was right. There was a chance that someone might come up to check upon them.

"Tell them that I went to take a shit" That was the best excuse Roberta was able to come up with at this moment and it was a pretty good excuse too. Kyoko nodded her head in understanding… After that, Roberta made her way straight toward one of the bathrooms on the first floor…
