Lavender

-Blossom by blossom,spring begins-

I was still recovering from our kiss and I was trying to convince myself that it had not stirred anything in my heart. After years of celibacy,I had finally felt the touch of a woman and it was amazing.

Her grandma had insisted on us staying for dinner and I knew she was keeping an eye on us but the kiss had managed to somehow convinced her that we were a loving couple.

The house was abuzz with activities as the chef continued to prepare the food and the servants scurried up and down the house carrying out orders.

I tried to occupy myself with something and look around the room.Dami and her grandma were in their rooms and that gave me free rein to roam.

There were odd little knickknacks in the room and I knew they must have been collected by her grandma.I then went to a wall drawer that held several knickknacks and there was a small photo album.

I opened it and was met by a picture of baby Dami and it was when she was just six months,going by the writing on the picture.She was smiling at the camera and her frilly green dress made her look chubby.

I flicked to another page and it was one of her with her parents.She was holding a teddy bear and her toothy grin matched the ones on her parents' faces.

I continued on up to the last page and it was of her and her grandma.The picture was dated on the year her parents had died.She had a grim look on her face and one would have thought she was incapable of smiling.

I felt bad for her.Having lost her parents at a young age must have dealt a huge blow to her. I put the photo album back to where it was and I turned around only to find Dami,looking at me intently.

"What were you doing?"
