14 Ken Really Wanted to Test Lidya's Heart

The person who approached Ken was Ardy. He smiled slyly and said, "My offer to you is still open. If you break up with Lidya in front of me, then, I will give you my BMW car and tomorrow, I will withdraw from our fight."

Ken snorted. "Are you afraid of me getting beat up?"

"Hahaha. I'm giving you a chance to live because my last opponents all ended up in the hospital because of this fist of mine." Ardy showed his fist with a menacing look at Ken.

"We'll see tomorrow. Who gets hospitalized."

"So, once again, you're not accepting my offer, is that it?"

"I see."

"Okay. Don't regret it later." Ardy snorted and left Ken.

Right now, over there, Lidya was starting to get questions from her friends about Ken. "Is it true that your boyfriend is just a cleaning service?"

Maya's words caused many of Maya's friends to immediately nod and influence Lidya not to continue her relationship with Ken.

"Sorry. I can't. I accept Ken for what he is not for what he is. I don't care if he's just a cleaning service because I don't see his job. I see his heart. Besides, Ken won't stay at his current job forever. He could be a stockbroker like me tomorrow. Right?" Lidya said this because she was planning a path for Ken.

What Lidya had in mind was noticed by Mei Chen, Maya's friend. "What you're planning could fail miserably, Lid."

"What do you mean, Mei Chen?" asked Lidya.

"I mean, your attempt to raise her to be a stockbroker like you, so that she can be equal to you, could fail."

Upon hearing Mei Chen's words, all of Lidya's friends looked at Mei Chen closely and waited for her next words.

"How come you know about my business, Mei Chen?"

"I could see it from the expression on your face when you kept asking Maya and the others to leave Ken and from that, I could deduce that you were planning something. That's all. I'm an observer."

"Are Mei Chen's words true?" asked Tirza curiously.

"Yes. Mei Chen's observations are correct."

"But, I believe that you will fail," Mei Chen said again.

"Failure how do you mean?"

"Come on, Lidya. The world of stock trading is not an easy one. The competition is tough and big losses can happen in the blink of an eye. If you give a cleaning service a chance to suddenly enter the world of stocks, he won't be able to succeed. He will only embarrass you, Lidya.

"What's going on, mom?" asked Lidya.

"Ardy said this is your boyfriend." Esy pointed at Ken. "Just a cleaning service. Is that true?"

"Right, ma." Lidya answered firmly and there was no hesitation in her tone.

"Lidya. You should be able to make good choices. Don't make mama ashamed."

"Mom... remember what you taught me as a child. She told me not to be picky about my friends. Didn't you? Have you forgotten your own teachings?"

"I haven't forgotten. But that's for socializing with friends. You can be friends with anyone. But, when it comes to boyfriends, it's different. Remember seed, bebet, weight in choosing your future daughter-in-law. I'd be embarrassed if you married a cleaning service."

"Because I embarrassed you and even scolded your mom for my work."

"I'm not embarrassed. Ever since I accepted you to be my girlfriend, I've been prepared for this kind of situation and as for me getting scolded, that's normal. My mom scolds me for a lot of things when I conflict with her. But, in the end she won't bring it up again and will be forced to accept what I've decided."

Hearing Lidya's words. Ken was even more amazed by Lidya. "I really have found my soul mate," Ken thought.
