The Billionaire's Sick Wife

A poor girl born with congenital heart disease has not had much hope for the future, but her life takes a sharp turn when a wealthy, handsome man proposes marriage to her following her heart transplant. It was the most surprising thing to happen to her in her 22 years of life. Abigail had never thought that Christopher Sherman, a young, multibillionaire businessman, would approach her and express his desire to marry her. She was ecstatic and accepted his proposal. But little did she know that the 32-year-old handsome guy had a secret reason for wanting to marry her. Abigail stepped into his world with a lot of hope in her heart. But marrying him was not the happy ending. It was just the beginning. Will she be able to keep her heart from breaking? What will happen if she discovers his true motive? ============= "Life was easy before I married you," said Abigail with pain in her eyes. “I was dying, but I was happy.” “What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm. Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered. "Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?” His silence was the clear answer. ============= A special thanks to Aurora, my editor, for her helpful suggestions on how to improve the synopsis. The disappointment

Abigail arrived at the airport on time with the hope that Christopher would be waiting for her. She couldn't find him, much to her disappointment. She phoned him, but the ring ended before the call could log in.

Thinking that he would be on his way, she waited for him patiently.

The time passed minute by minute.

Everyone who came entered the terminal. But she was the only one standing there with her luggage.

Christopher had not arrived yet.

She found a chair to sit down on, looking for him. When she saw no sign of him, she became concerned that he would miss the flight.

She dialed his number once again. Her annoyance grew as he did not respond to her call.

"Where is she?" She murmured despondently. "What is it that has taken him so long to come here?"

She was disappointed as well. It was her first trip with him, and he was late.

Did he do it deliberately? Or did he fall into any trouble?
