A poor girl born with congenital heart disease has not had much hope for the future, but her life takes a sharp turn when a wealthy, handsome man proposes marriage to her following her heart transplant. It was the most surprising thing to happen to her in her 22 years of life. Abigail had never thought that Christopher Sherman, a young, multibillionaire businessman, would approach her and express his desire to marry her. She was ecstatic and accepted his proposal. But little did she know that the 32-year-old handsome guy had a secret reason for wanting to marry her. Abigail stepped into his world with a lot of hope in her heart. But marrying him was not the happy ending. It was just the beginning. Will she be able to keep her heart from breaking? What will happen if she discovers his true motive? ============= "Life was easy before I married you," said Abigail with pain in her eyes. “I was dying, but I was happy.” “What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm. Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered. "Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?” His silence was the clear answer. ============= A special thanks to Aurora, my editor, for her helpful suggestions on how to improve the synopsis. After a long, breathless kiss, they drew back and gasped for oxygen. They smiled.
"I want to see you in these," he murmured, caressing her cheek.
"Sure…" She put on the earrings, which glittered under the light.
Christopher marveled at her, smiling meaningfully. "I said only in these," he said hoarsely.
Abigail's cheeks turned bright red. She couldn't find a place to hide from his keen eyes.
While she was looking left and right, she heard him say, "Abi… start undressing."
There was a tinge of command in his polite tone. Abigail didn't know why she felt compelled to follow his words. She began to undress.
Her shyness vanished as the clothes fell off one by one, and her face changed to one of boldness. As she removed the last piece of cloth, she looked him in the eyes.
She stood naked in front of him, not showing any sign of shyness. She was enjoying the moment and was eager to know what would come next.
