Lance’s ultimatum (Part-2)
As Sebastian complied with Lance's orders, every member of his team emerged and relinquished their weapons. The tension was palpable, but one crucial individual was conspicuously absent: Samuel.
Sebastian knew Samuel was likely orchestrating a plan to rescue them, and he couldn't help but admire his resourcefulness. Facing Lance with a mixture of defiance and concern, he pleaded for his daughter's release.
"I did whatever you asked for," he declared, his voice heavy with indignation. "All my men have surrendered. Let go of my daughter. Your problem is with me, and I am here right in front of you. You can do whatever you want with me, but release my daughter."
Lance, while taking pleasure in Sebastian's vulnerability, also couldn't suppress his own emotions. A faint sense of satisfaction welled up in him, but it was mixed with a pang of sorrow as he thought about his parents.
