The Billionaire's Sick Wife

A poor girl born with congenital heart disease has not had much hope for the future, but her life takes a sharp turn when a wealthy, handsome man proposes marriage to her following her heart transplant. It was the most surprising thing to happen to her in her 22 years of life. Abigail had never thought that Christopher Sherman, a young, multibillionaire businessman, would approach her and express his desire to marry her. She was ecstatic and accepted his proposal. But little did she know that the 32-year-old handsome guy had a secret reason for wanting to marry her. Abigail stepped into his world with a lot of hope in her heart. But marrying him was not the happy ending. It was just the beginning. Will she be able to keep her heart from breaking? What will happen if she discovers his true motive? ============= "Life was easy before I married you," said Abigail with pain in her eyes. “I was dying, but I was happy.” “What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm. Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered. "Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?” His silence was the clear answer. ============= A special thanks to Aurora, my editor, for her helpful suggestions on how to improve the synopsis. I can help you in kicking Jasper out of the gang.

Ella felt a rising tide of horror clawing at her throat. Her eyes were fixated on the gun. Her mind raced with thoughts of the terrible fate that awaited her. She tried to speak, but her voice caught in her throat.

"I know everything about you," Sebastian continued. "Your uncle is a greedy man and so you are. You lured Jasper with your charm for his wealth. You don't love him. All you want is his money."

"This is not true." Defending herself, Ella refuted his claims. "I love him."

"I'll give you so much money that you won't be able to earn in this lifetime," Sebastian interjected. "You want to become a fashion designer. I'll help you pursue your career. Take the money and leave the country. Never try to contact Jasper."

Ella's breath came in short gasps as she considered her options. She knew that refusing Sebastian's offer would result in dire consequences. But she couldn't bring herself to betray Jasper's trust, no matter the cost.
