IX : Penthouse

No, no, no. 

There is no way I'm falling to Axel Kusuma. The biggest women player in this entire universe. I must have lost my mind if I do. 

It's Saturday, which means I could've slept in, but no. This cursed internal alarm went off at 5 AM, as always. I spent an hour staring blankly at the wall. 

Tonight I'm meeting up with my closest friends—we've known each other since middle school. And guess who's the first person I thought about today? Yep, Axel. Of course, it's because I love my job so much, and that's the only reason I'd think of my annoying boss first thing in the morning. Right?

Just because it's the weekend doesn't mean I'm off the hook. I still have to rework Axel's schedule for the upcoming week and sort through his files. Fun times. 

After it was all done, I was doing my makeup because in two hours I will hang out with my friends. Suddenly my phone rang, 'Lil Axel' is shown in the id caller phone. 

"Hello?" I picked up the phone 

"Dear assistant, I just woke up and didn't see any food." 

So, what am I supposed to do about it? I rolled my eyes. It was a big mistake to almost think of him as a fine man yesterday.

"What do you want to eat?" I asked, trying to make things fast. 

"Something light but not too light." 

"Where should I send the food?" 

"I'll text you my address. You'll need to pick it up."

"Wait, so you want me to come to your house?"

"Of course. Who else would do it?" he replied as if it were obvious.

Great. My peaceful morning, destroyed in seconds. 

"Fine," I muttered, hanging up and immediately searched for lunch for Axel the Highness. I got the address from his message, it's different from the mansion address that the Kusuma lives in. But from the name of the apartment, it is still a luxurious residence. 

I quickly ordered his meal and finished the last touches of my makeup. Once I got dressed, I headed out. After all, I'd still have time to meet my friends after this sudden royal errand.

I took a taxi. It took about 15 minutes before I arrived in the grand apartment. In front of the apartment gate, A delivery guy stood by the gate with a food bag. I approached him, took the meal, and thanked him before making my way inside.

The lobby was huge, one of the biggest chandeliers hung on the center ceiling that I have ever seen, and a couple of sofas lined up. It isn't a surprise but this isn't the usual apartment that I knew, this is more like a five star hotel. 

 After receiving directions from the doormen, I made my way to the elevator, balancing the food bag in one hand while I stared at the floor buttons. Axel's unit was on the twenty-fourth floor. Of course. The penthouse

Once more it's not a surprise because it is Axel's home, but the fact that I'm going to the penthouse of the most luxurious apartment in the country fascinates me. 

The lobby was pristine, with polished marble floors and gleaming chandeliers. After receiving directions from the doormen, I made my way to the elevator, balancing the food bag in one hand while I stared at the floor buttons. Axel's unit was on the twenty-fourth floor. Of course. The penthouse 

I entered the password on the door handle, 150619. The door lock was automatically opened, and I entered his apartment unit. I stepped inside Axel's apartment and immediately noticed how tidy and modern everything was. The space felt open, with a sleek kitchen on one side and a cozy living room on the other. Black cabinets and shiny countertops in the kitchen were almost too perfect, like they barely got any use. The living room had a large gray couch facing a flat-screen TV, with sunlight flooding in from huge floor-to-ceiling windows, making the whole place feel bright and airy. 

The walls were plain white, with a few abstract pictures hanging here and there. The furniture was simple and minimal, just a coffee table, a couple of chairs, and nothing extra. It was clear this place was expensive, but not over the top. Just clean, neat, and a little too perfect for someone like Axel.

No one inside, "Hello? Axel!" I called him while walking towards more, I can hear a sound of water from far away. 

I texted him and called his phone to tell him that I have arrived, but he is not responding so I just wait while checking the time, I still got an hour more. I sat on the long navy couch in the living room, and suddenly someone opened one of the doors, 

"What did you buy for me?" and there is Axel naked! I meant half naked, with only one towel covering his low part of body. The water dripped down from his hair, and I can still see a couple of water droplets in his body. I couldn't help stare at his body, all this time his body was covered by a work shirt, but now I just realized that he has a nice body build, defined biceps, and he has slight packs in his abs.
