Chapter 54

                              Jacob Mackay

He would match his father's energy. He won't stop till he destroys the culprit. As Jacob left the house, he contemplated having a chat with Nicole. Jace was their son. There were many things they needed to talk about. But then, he thought against it. He remembered the way she had been all cozy with his father after accusing the man of being after her life. The anger he felt at finding the two of them together like that solidified his decision to not see her.

Jacob went out of the house with the precision he had come in with. Just as he was about to get into his car, his phone rang. He dug through his pockets, trying to reach for it. He pulled it out and checked the caller ID. It was Fox. He hadn't heard from the man since he stormed off at the hospital. He had a feeling Fox had some good news already concerning their new operation.

"Fox, hit me," he said.

"Where are you?" No proper introductions, he just asked.
