CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-NINE

CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-NINE

ROXANNE'S POV

"Will you walk me to the bank to convert the money to cash?" I pleaded with my eyes, taking advantage of the sofa-soft environment that she had created.

Going to the bank to withdraw such a huge amount of money in cash did fill me with so much fear. But going with someone would surely alleviate some of the fears and give me a feeling of safety and she was a proper candidate.

"Sure!" She replied, "What are friends for?" She reached out to touch my hands. "But will the bank be willing to release such a grand amount?" She noted, still pressing her hands on mine.

"I don't know," I replied. The thought had never crossed my mind. I had never even thought the bank could be a problem.

To me, the issue lay mostly with Edward as the cash was going to be produced by his bank account and if he at all refused to hand over some cash, everything was naught.
