Chapter 43: Those Closest to You

*Nigel’s POV*

I didn't get any sleep last night. Addy and I looked everywhere, trying to locate Sophie. When we saw Sophie's car still parked in the parking lot of her job, it confirmed our worst fears that something terrible had happened, but we didn't know what. After Addy confirmed the woman in the security footage was Jodi, I wondered if this Jodi girl had something to do with her disappearance.

Addy tried to reassure me that Jodi wouldn't do something this horrific, being that she and Sophie were friends, but Jodi was the only person who went into Sophie's office on the day she left. I contemplated driving to Celebrity New One Media and talking with Jodi, but I didn't want her to know I was on to her if she was behind this leak.

Addy wanted to contact Sophie’s family but didn't want to alarm them. I told Addy that I would call a few people who could track her phone and would call the police if I hadn't found anything.

'Where could she be?' I thought to myself.
