Chapter 31

Damian's eyes were fixed on the countdown, his mind racing with thoughts of escape. But every door they reached led to more corridors, more dead ends. The warehouse seemed to stretch on forever.

Liam's hand was sweaty in his, his eyes fixed on the floor. "Dad, I'm scared," he whispered.

Damian forced a reassuring smile. "I've got you, son. We'll get out of here."

But as they turned a corner, Damian's heart sank. A steel door blocked their path, with no handle or keycard slot. Just a keypad, flashing with an error message.

"No, no, no," Damian muttered, punching the wall in frustration.

Liam looked up at him, tears in his eyes. "Dad, what's going to happen to us?"

Damian took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing thoughts. Think, Damian, think. There had to be a way out.

But as he looked around, he realized they were trapped. The bomb was still counting down, and they were running out of time...
