Chapter 2 : Unfaithful Dream

As Satoshi goes upstairs, he lumped back to his bed.

"Guess I will play along do I?"   Not too long Satoshi checked his phone as his contacts updated.

Kabukara Kazuto

The lone staff and owner of the shoe shop called Deidas located near the train station. He is a kind wise man that Satoshi met as Reina bring her inside. It seems that Reina and Kazuto have known long since then.

("Seems so... But as of now, it's not much... connected to what I need.") Kazuto browsed upon his gallery image.

"Pretty normal to me, The rooftop and lockers still don' have the required info it needs and I still don't know what's the use of it.. so in the future perhaps it may.

Satoshi mumbled as he felt hopeless, It's almost time to call it a day, yet so far .. it feels so normal. I don't want to accept that at all either."

He scratched his head trying to discard the negative thoughts circling to him.

Satoshi heard some cracking noise on the stairs. He hurriedly goes to bed tucked in a blanket.

Reina eventually heads upstairs, as she knocks bringing the food in-tray.

*tick tock*   "Satoshi may I come in? The food is ready." She warmly asked.

"Of course!" Satoshi brazenly replied.

"Pardon me, I'll put your food on your desk. Is there anything more you need help with?" She said as she put the food on his desk.

"No.. not at all." Quickly he answered.

"Would you like me to feed you then ~?"  Reina teased him as she plays with the spoon.

"I- I can feed myself! No thank you!." Embarrassed as he tucked himself with the blanket.

"Ahaha, well I know that you will already answer that. You have my number right? I didn't change mine at all, so if you ever need anything! Ring a bell and I'm going to run at you."  She patted his back as she makes her way back to Satoshi's door.

"Yeah?" ("Wait I do? Maybe I should check my phonebook?")...

"Bye Satoshi kun." She waved as she closed his door, she made her way outside the house.

Satoshi began to check downstairs if Reina locked the door. "Well, it seems so."

Satoshi also noticed the dishes were also cleaned, he felt bad that she did the work despite him not being sick at all. As he turned back he remembered his parents' room was just near the stairs and one room between his room.

"I know what eventually the room looks like but still... " Satoshi's hand tensely getting near to the doorknob.

Opening the room he saw the room turned into a small study, it gives a rustic feel as everywhere you turn there are books and bookshelves within it. An old clock was also hanging there but a different one like what his father bought. Rustic lamps and lights and well-decorated brown curtain give the additional frills, with a globe and quail on an 18th-century looking desk. The dark-brown wooden floor seemingly that it got recently got cleaned compliments the entire room as well the white ceiling and its brown edges. There's even a small ladder and stool for the upper shelves.

("My sister is a fanatic of old ancient-looking stuff. It's like a detective room of some room that is like a time capsule.") Satoshi I shockingly amazed at how his parent' rooms turn out.

On the left, he saw a telephone well as a picture frame of the whole family.

("Ah this shot also happened back then...  we w...e at the amusement park hanging out during vacation 14 years ago..")

" It's nice to know at least that t s memory was still here. Even though I'm just a little kid I can vaguely remember everything that happened in my life at that time.

But this room really turned a 180, there's no trace of what the room used to be..is at east essence of it is enough for me.."

Satoshi smiled as she placed back the picture frame from the desk near the telephone. Satoshi went back to his room as he eats the meal Reina made for him.

"Ahh good thing it isn't cold yet, it would be a waste that even Reina worked hard for."  He speaks before eating.

"Thanks for the food." He said before eating as he sat on his desk.

("It smells good and it tastes good too.") "She's such a good cook, well as far as my knowledge goes."

Satoshi then checks his phonebook at his cell as he switched it back to a normal phone.

"Seems she's right, it did save here,  the only thing that changed is my parent's contact weren't here... Ahh Ryuji and Kai are also here."

They were my childhood friends along with Kazunari, but they enrolled in a different school although their homes are still in this town. It's pass by the River so I guess 18 minutes away by walking distance.  I wonder how they were, I should maybe stop by to them tomorrow since it Sunday, while I'm at it visiting other places worth going for.

Time passed and Satoshi fell asleep after waiting for his sister for a while. Her sister does have a duplicate but he felt like he wanted to ask something when she came home.

The night filled the home its slumber as Satoshi slowly fell into his deep sleep on his bed.

As Satoshi fell asleep he had a strange dream. As everything in white slowly turns clearer and clearer till he can see them perfectly.

"My head hurts like hell again... " he said as felt dizzy while his vision started to get better.

It seems like the part when Satoshi saw Kazunari and Reina chatting together. As usual, Reina saw me and as he was getting ready to get dragged.

Neh isn't that Satoshi..?" Reina tapped Kazunari as she pointed at Satoshi.

"Oh?" .... ("over here!") Kazunari waved happily at him as he pointed.

The stoplight weirdly turns red when it just turned green seconds ago as Reina was in the middle of running to the street.

"Satoshi!" Reina cheerily yells as she runs in the middle of the road.

Satoshi didn't notice at first as he was focused on Reina running at him like the normal flow of what happened that time.

There, a truck at a fast speed went fast as Reina was passing over where Satoshi was standing.  The driver wasn't able to stop the truck in time as the driver started to warn the pedestrian running by honking.

"This wasn't supposed to happen.. no, how can a truck in such speed when the light is?" Satoshi momentarily stared with fear at the red light as he immediately looks at the raging truck as he shouted warning Reina about the truck.

"Heh? ... heh.... but it was just green a second ago ... I was sure there are no cars around here either.." Reina's final thoughts as she looked at the truck going towards her with its lights open.

As the sound of the truck trying to stop as it tries drifts from the road the first unfortunate event has begun to unfold.

Satoshi shockingly saw Reina getting hit by a truck as she flies and hit the near lampost. Kazunari immediately runs towards Reina as he told Satoshi to call an ambulance.

"Keep it together Reina, we're here," Kazunari said in a worried voice and a fearful look.

Satoshi was afraid as he dropped his phone and looks at the driver seemingly running away from the scene.

The hit was severe as the blood continues to flow out of Reina's chest turning her clothes tainted in bloody red. Satoshi felt dizzy once again as he lost his balance with his heartbeat beating faster than he could ever imagine.

"No no... this is just a dream.. it can be right... "

Kazunari on the other hand is trying to stop the bleeding as Reina uncontrollably coughs blood.

"Hey Satoshi, have you called the ambulance already? Satoshi?"

Kazunari worriedly asked Satoshi who is supposed to be beside him.

"Ora, Not you too! We're in grave danger right now Satoshi!" Kazunari intensely speaks to Kazunari as he was as well confused about what to do.

As Satoshi lost consciousness in the event the old man from the shop runs toward them holding a phone seemingly calling the emergency hotline.
