The sound of a fast horse awoke some citizens that night. They thought it was just a knight returning from duty, or a panicking messenger who needed to finish his job.
To their surprise, it was neither of the two. The one riding on the brown horse was a ten-year-old boy, who held tightly on the rope.
The people were amazed by how well the boy rode the horse at a very fast speed. Little do they know that Ezekiel only struggled not to fall. The reason why the guards were not able to stop them was because the horse was too fast!
As the horse went directly towards the palace gates, Ezekiel shouted at the guards repeatedly, "Open the gate!"
Seeing that it was the young prince, the guards immediately pulled the gate wide open. Where did he come from? They did not even notice him leaving!
When Ezekiel was out of sight and had entered the palace gates, the citizens talked about it themselves. Some even asked the city guards who it was.
