Chapter 2: Office Antics and Unexpected Meetings

The next day at the marketing firm, Avery was still buzzing with excitement from the successful pitch. She was in the middle of a brainstorming session when her boss, Mr. Patel, walked in with a new consultant.

"Everyone, I'd like you to meet Jordan Bennett," Mr. Patel announced. "Jordan will be helping us with the new tech project."

Avery's eyes widened in surprise as they recognized the charming stranger from the café. Jordan gave a small wave, their eyes meeting Avery's with a hint of amusement.

"Nice to see you again, Avery," Jordan said with a smile.

Avery felt her cheeks flush. "You too, Jordan."

As the meeting progressed, Avery couldn't help but steal glances at Jordan. She was impressed by Jordan's expertise and the easy way he communicated with the team. When the meeting ended, Jordan approached Avery.

"Looks like we're working together now," Jordan said, he smile warm and genuine.
