My eyes widened as I realized who this man was, I smiled.

"It's you."

He looked at me and raised an eyebrow.

"What did you just say?"

"I said 'It's you'."

"I thought so. Who are you?"

Well, since I created this guy, I know he's gonna kill me if I make one wrong move, a nervous smile creeped across my face.

"That's not important. You don't know me, but…I know you."

His hand clenched on his sword.

"Do tell then."

"Your Noah Break. At 27 years old you worked a 9-5 at a popular publishing company, but got laid off on October 31st of 2022. While you were riding a train the apocalypse broke out and you got a message saying you were "chosen". Your aspect was "The Regressor". And then you died, at this point you've died what 29 times? This is your 30th regression."

His eyes widened as he looked at me and then he seemed to get angry.

"How do you know all of that?!"

"Well, you asked me to tell you."

I smiled.

He raised his sword as if he was going to kill me. But he wouldn't do that. He had to know if I was useful or not.

Suddenly a blue screen appeared in front of me.

I blinked for a second.

That was the command to show well, the overview of everything I had.

What do these do…

I thought for a second before I heard a large clunk next to me. A sword was impaled into the ground next to me. I looked at Nolan Break, he seemed angry and restless.

"What are you looking at?"

"I'm just thinking."

I only knew one of these skills because it's one I made this guy right here have it on his 100th regression. The all seeing eye, it allows one to look at the full overview, stats, and skills of any person as long as they don't have an extremely powerful mental barrier. Sadly, this guy happens to have one of those, so that's disappointing…

He sighed and picked up his sword.

"I assume you want to come with me."

I raised an eyebrow.

"Hm? If you don't mind."

He sighed frustratingly and walked away, I followed slightly behind him. We walked silently for what seemed like hours before he looked back at me.

"Don't you want to know where we are going?"

"Don't worry, I already know. We're going to the 'lobby'."

He continued to stare at me.

"Tell me your name."

"It's Parker."

He grunted and continued walking, if I knew my novel came to life, maybe I should've made him less antisocial instead of an emotionless overpowered shitstain of a person. But oh no, the consequences of my actions!

He has an A or A+ in pretty much every stat for except for wisdom, he has an F in wisdom. Why did I make it that way? Because wisdom is one of the most overpowered stats, especially for him, in his 29th regression, the one before this, he obtained and fully mastered every main class, and the subclasses he chose.

Eventually we made our way to a white center, a large white marble structure standing at the top of it, with a long flight of stairs up to it. That was the "lobby".

"You can go first."

I looked at him as he said this, my smile cracking a bit.

"...okay."

I walked up the stairs and entered into the lobby, the place was pitch black, I looked behind me to see the door had disappeared. This was oblivion, the empty palace of potential. Three screens hovered in the air. 

The three had different names and picture plastered on them.

"The Mage."

"The Warrior."

"The Ranger".

This wasn't even a hard choice, I don't have much physical strength so warrior and ranger are completely out of question, but my intelligence and wisdom are really good.

"I choose the path of the mage."

The other two screens disappeared in a moment. A crystal ball on a pedestal now appearing in front of me. I rolled my right sleeve up and put my right hand on the crystal ball. Suddenly black lightning shot up and covered my arm, a burning pain consuming my right arm. I bit on my tongue, trying to escape this pain, but I couldn't withhold my hand.

I yelled and withdrew my hand, black still cloaking my arm as I brought it down upon the ball, the ball shattering into millions of pieces.

…hidden quest? I don't remember making something like this…is it possible? Right, what I talked about at the lecture, I didn't really mean it like that…but it's true isn't it? The author doesn't know everything about their world…I smiled.

Hm, well some of these are certainly new…I know what sword graveyard is, it's max level is 1 so it just says 1. But it increases your knowledge of weapons by about 600% which should make me about 12 times more efficient with any weapon. Sadly it doesn't seem like I have a good enough physical build for such an aspect like The Destroyer, though it is interesting. I think I might've made such an aspect…but I don't remember very well.
