"B-But...." Valerie stuttered.
However, Alex gave her a cold glare. "You have to do it, Valerie."
Valerie's eyes widened in protest as she shifted uncomfortably. "Apologize to her? You can't be serious!" Valerie exclaimed, her voice laced with disdain.
Alex's expression turned stern, his jaw clenched. "I've never been more serious, Valerie. You falsely accused Sophia, wrecked her room, and called her names. The least you can do is apologize sincerely."
"Falsely? B-But Sophia is a thief; I know it for a fact. Besides, the money in her cabinet proves me right." Valerie protested.
Alex rolled his eyes. "If you are so sure that it is Sophia who stole the money, then allow me to carry out my investigations," Alex said.
"There's no need for that," Valerie said, her voice uneasy as she forced a faint smile.
"Then apologies," Alex said bluntly.
