Chapter 099: The Sixth Ten-Consecutive Draws

After Charles defeated Stick, he returned to the office with Shizune, Uchiha Sasuke, and Rock Lee. Ginny remained behind to handle the aftermath. Dealing with over a hundred bodies and the poison gas in the underground tunnel required thorough cleanup and arrangements.

Iruka Umino, who was responsible for overseeing things in the agency, eagerly approached Charles upon their return.

"Lord Charles, Lady Shizune," Iruka greeted them.

Upon seeing the young man dressed in a Chuunin vest beside Charles, Shizune took a moment to ponder and then inquired, "Are you Iruka Umino?"

"Yes, Lady Shizune, I am Iruka Umino. It's been a while since you and Lady Tsunade left the village, and I never expected to see you again in this world," Iruka replied.

The mention of Lady Tsunade piqued the curiosity of the two little ones who were with Charles.

Charles looked at Iruka's excited expression and instructed, "Iruka, Shizune has just arrived here and is not familiar with many things. Please give her a detailed explanation."

"And you two little troublemakers," he added, addressing Sasuke and Lee, "since you seem interested, join in on the conversation."

Without waiting for Iruka to respond, Charles made his way to his room upstairs.

Once in his room, Charles took a moment to bathe and change clothes. With the Dragon Bones matter resolved, the next step would be recruiting ninjas.

Just as Charles was about to access the system, the phone on the side table suddenly rang. He picked it up and saw that it was a call from Kingpin. Charles answered the call.

"Hey, Charles!"

"I heard there was quite a commotion at the land you acquired today. Do you need any help?"

Charles chuckled and replied, "Kingpin, it seems like you have a reliable source of information."

On the other end of the phone, Kingpin explained, "Charles, it's not that I wanted to pry into your secrets. The situation over there was just too significant, with gunfire and explosions. In Hell's Kitchen, such events are not easily overlooked."

Charles didn't pay much attention to Kingpin's explanation and casually said, "There's no need for your assistance, but would you like to gain control over another piece of territory?"

Kingpin's interest was piqued when he heard about gaining more territory. He inquired, "How so?"

"The leader of the Chaste and most of their elite members have all died today. You can take over their territory," Charles explained.

"If you're interested in the Japanese market, you could even pay a visit and seize the headquarters of the Chaste."

"Also, one more thing – the leader of the Chaste was the mentor of Daredevil."

Kingpin was momentarily stunned, not by the Chaste leader's death or the territory Charles was offering, but by the revelation that Daredevil's mentor had been the leader of the Chaste. 

He had always regarded the lawyer with eccentric tastes as a lone vigilante. Little did he know of Daredevil's true background.

Charles had eliminated a significant threat for him. Kingpin expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you, Charles."

"I'll take over the Chaste's territory in the United States. As for the situation in Japan, I'll need some time to consider it."

"Since you've given me such a generous gift, I won't disappoint you. I'll get back to you with my decision."

Charles wore a smile on his face. He had exchanged something he didn't need for a generous reward. He then said, "Alright, I'll await your gift."

Afterward, Charles disconnected the call and tossed his phone aside. He lay back on his bed, and Charles Doyle's consciousness entered the system, starting to observe his information.

Charles was curious about what changes would occur once he completed 60 Ninja Recruitments.

Looking at his 5,472 gold coins and the displayed number of 3 in the Ninja Recruitment Scrolls, Charles didn't hesitate. He spent 1,176 gold coins to purchase 7 Ninja Recruitment Scrolls, leaving him with 4,296 gold coins.

After making the purchases, Charles exited the system space. He remembered that the previous time he prayed to the Washroom Deity, the effect had been good.

After finishing the prayer ceremony, Charles Doyle's consciousness entered the system space.

The whirlpool symbol of the Land of Whirlpools appeared before his eyes, emitting a peculiar light. After a moment of shimmering radiance, the recruitment results appeared in Charles Doyle's view.
