The Show's Climax

The Blades looked just like thick swords but made purely out of Water Mana.

Leus felt the Blades bolt out of his Domain at a speed faster than he could keep up with.

In just a second, the Blades reached Kasai.

Most of the people couldn't see what was going on, to them, everything was just a blur.

Leus was hardly able to keep track of the blades.

The moment Arno aimed at him, Kasai knew that he was getting attacked.

He instantly unsheathed his sword and added Fire Mana to it, making it shine brightly in the darkness of the night.

When his sword clashed with the Blades, it made a clanking sound, as if it had clashed with another sword.

Kasai's swings were incredibly fast, but Leus had no problem in keeping up with them.

'He swings faster than Dad, but not fast enough for me to not be able to see it.'

Leus was able to see Kasai's sword's movements almost clearly, but as for Arno's Blades

'They're too fast, just leaving a blue trace behind'

Kasai blocked multiple hits and parried even more, yet, there was only so much a sword can do against six blades.

Injuries kept accumulating on his body, and his blood was slowly painting the ground red.

Kasai prioritized protecting his vitals, leaving his legs exposed.

It didn't take long, hardly 10 seconds after the Blades left Arno's side, Kasai's right thigh was impaled by a Blade.

"UGH"

Kasai loudly groaned, but he still didn't drop his sword

He lost his ability to move and turn around, his thigh was bleeding profusely, but even then, he kept swinging.

Leus was impressed

'How can Arno control the Blades with such great finesse! His dexterity is amazing.'

Five seconds after the first Blade impaled Kasai's thigh, another Blade impaled the right side of his abdomen.

Kasai fell to his knees, his sword was still in his hand, but he wasn't able to swing it anymore.

Instantly, a third Blade impaled his chest.

His sword stopped burning and fell on the floor

Leus was puzzled

'How the hell is he still alive with three Blades INSIDE him!!!!'

Arno waved his hand, and the other 3 Blades disappeared, only the three Blades inside Kasai's body remained.

He then walked forward and stood in front of the transfixed Kasai.

Kasai was struggling to raise his torso and look into Arno's eyes, his punctured body was bleeding profusely, and blood was oozing from his mouth as well.

There was, quite literally, a pool of blood under him.

Leus inspected Kasai's body with Advanced Mana Vision

'His Life Force dimmed a lot, but he is still alive ...'

'A normal person would have died long ago ...'

While Leus was thinking about that, Arno silently cast two Hydraulics.

WHOOSH

The Hydraulics launched so fast and penetrated both Kasai's skull and heart.

'Oh... He died'

In Leus' eyes, Kasai's Life Force blackened, and his Aura disappeared along with the Blades that were in his body.

Thud

His lifeless body fell into the pool of his blood with a low sound, but because the entire area was silent, everyone clearly heard it.

The entire ordeal didn't take longer than 30 seconds, from the moment Arno activated his Skill until Kasai's lifeless body fell on the floor, less than a minute passed.

Yet, these moments felt like hours for everyone witnessing it, everyone's reaction was different.

Leus was fascinated by everything he witnessed.

Arno's poker face didn't break even for a second.

Phoenix was looking at Kasai with his arms crossed and an annoyed expression on his face.

Elio's mouth was agape.

Kye felt guilty, but only a little.

'If he would've been smarter, he wouldn't have died. Why would any sane man challenge The Librarian? Courting death ... '

The Library's Guards' expressions didn't change as well, some of them felt sad about his death as a fellow human and knight, but only ever so slightly.

Honestly, if Arno had ordered any of them to kill him, none of them would've hesitated for a mere moment.

As for Leus' small army, most of them didn't comprehend what was going on.

These things were WAY out of their league, they just trusted their Saint, so as long as they didn't get an order from him, they wouldn't react.

Those who understood what had happened, like Scar and Bones, were just so grateful that Leus and that scary man were on their side, otherwise

'We can't even dream of standing against these people, extermination would be instantaneous.'

Arno turned around and walked back to Leus' side

"Release him."

Leus silently nodded and looked at Bones

Bones was a bit late to respond, so Leus poked him, and he quickly untied Kye.

As soon as he was untied, Kye quite literally ran to Phoenix's side, crossed him, and walked to Elio's side.

Arno looked at Phoenix

"Entering this area is prohibited for the Crimson Guards until further notice, any suspicious behavior from you, or your underlings, will immediately be considered Treason. Later, I'll arrange a meeting to iron out the details."

He looked at Felix and continued

"Remain with Leus until he comes back to the Library."

Felix instantly replied

"Understood, Master."

Arno looked at the rest of the Guards

"Demobilize"

All the Guards sheathed back their swords and scattered away.

Arno looked at Leus

"I guess there's no need for my presence here anymore."

Leus nodded

" ... Thanks, Master"

Arno nodded and walked away as well.

Phoenix stood in front of Kasai's dead body and murmured in a very low voice that no one heard

"I told you not to interfere..."

He looked at Leus one final time, then turned around to Elio and Kye

"Cover the body with something, we can't walk into the city carrying a corpse."

Scar heard that, so he ordered Kyle to help them

"Bring them something to cover the body with"

So Kyle ran to the Safe House to bring a blanket.

Leus didn't feel good or bad about Kasai's death, his emotions were neutral.

If it was his decision, then he wouldn't kill Kasai until his Moral Code allowed him to, but now that Arno killed him, he didn't really care that much.

Instead, he was contemplating

'Should I tell Phoenix to file a complaint about what happened? That's basically what he wanted me to do.'

He wanted to mock Phoenix a bit, but he decided against it

'I'll just be abusing my Master's powers. One day, when I'm strong enough, I'll mock them on my own.'

Leus' desire to become stronger increased even more.

Kyle gave Elio and Kye the blanket, and they wrapped it around Kasai's body and carried it.

The two followed Phoenix until the three of them disappeared into the distance.
