A breeze of evil innocence

Delish came ahead and whacked his head. " Are you blind? Do you think anything can happen to her? Extend your vision. Open your freaking eyeballs a bit wider so that you can catch a glimpse of the reality."

Ryuu changed the course of his focus from the girl and peeked behind her. Nyxii was lying behind her helplessly. Her whiplash was choking her. She was breathing heavily.

" I told you. You were fortunate to be found by me in the hallway but looks like your luck didn't last." Delish mocked her as he destroyed the bar of the prison.

"Lora, did you kill her? She looks like a dead meat. Father's gonna be furious if he finds out you killed another loyal servant of his. You haven't even finished off your punishment. You darting for another misfortune." Delish hurried and studied Nyxii's pulse.

"You're my little brother, my blood. You're supposed to check on me not her."

"It's not like you will die with a little fatigue. Can't say the same thing for your blood loss though. So stop misusing your blood like that. Delish pulled her older sister and held her in his arms.

Ryuu was standing there without a word. His gaze was fixed on Nyxii. She was like a fish floating on blood. Every corner of the wall was painted red with her blood. Her skin was pale. There were tiny tiny cuts all over her body. Few were already healed.

Alora( The first daughter and the only princess of the demon realm) has always had a special kind of blood. Her blood can heal any wound either fatal or minor. If it's a cut or slash from a sharp object it's in her power to heal.

Looking at her feeble body and looking at Nyxii, Ryuu already had an idea about his surroundings. She tortured her and healed her not once not twice but multiple times.

"Alora, weren't you confiscated inside a chamber? If Father finds out you sneaked he's going to delay your ...

"Ryuu"

Her bloody hands reached for his cheek. She was still getting support from Delish so Ryuu came a little closer. " Nobody's gonna find out the truth if everyone stays quiet. Oh, did I ruin your perfect complexion with blood? I'm sorry."

"Here, let me wipe it for you." She wiped the blood away with a piece of her gown's sleeve. Her smile was warm in that cold secret chamber.

"Alora..You shouldn't be here. Please leave this place at once. If anything happens I-I-I'll take the bl-blame." Ryuu was panicked.

Amidst chaos and panic, Alora was already healed. She was able to stand on her own accord. She pulled Ryuu closer to her and hugged him.

"You are warm". Ryuu was soothed and he suddenly fell numb.

Alora was a high-ranked demon with mixed blood whereas Delish was a pure-blood demon even though both were from the same parents. She was always special as she could heal herself as well as others. Can't say the same thing for Delish. Even though his wound can be healed after a certain period, his blood doesn't heal anyone else.

It was already dawn when Ryuu woke up. Delish was dozing, barely leaning on his door.

"Did he sleep there or is he just posing?" Ryuu was indulged in his thoughts when Delish woke up. Seeing Ryuu staring at him he felt a bit irritated." Stop staring. I know I'm good-looking. But you ain't my type." He facepalmed him.

Ryuu was too dumbfounded to say anything. He kept up there quietly. Seeing him not reacting Delish thought he kind of offended him. "It's not like you are not good-looking. I mean you are attractive too just not my type haha." He laughed nervously.

"Did you sleep here the whole night?" Ryuu fixed his eyes on him.

Delish eyes widened. " Whole night you son of a ...ahem I mean dear big brother do you even realize how many days have passed since you passed out? And I'm not here on intention. You inhaled a sleeping incense a bit much than needed so everyone thought you died. Lora was upset and sent me to look after you. Aah, my body. It's stiff."

" How long?"

" A couple of weeks." He said leisurely suppling his body.

" A coup..." Ryuu was about to respond when a swift wind entered the chamber and beside Ryuu was Alora sitting gracefully in his bed.

" Just a couple of days not more and it's alright to rest occasionally you know. I heard you trained hard." Alora was caressing his messy morning hair. Delish snuck up like a cat, pulled Alora's other hand, and placed it in his head hinting her to do the same with him as well.

Alora wrapped her arms around both of their necks and pulled closer. "Even though I was a bit mad at him for making you smell the potion at first now I don't think it was a bad idea cause you got a proper rest, didn't you?" She smiled. Her bright smile made both Delish and Ryuu happy after all she was the comfort both craved in their life.

When Ryuu was hugging Alora in the secret chamber, Delish made him smell the sleeping potion which was a bit strong. He knew Ryuu would nag her and cry about the past and how it was his fault for getting her into trouble and locked in the punishment chamber. This was the very reason Alora too didn't show herself in front of Ryuu alone. She knew she wouldn't be able to handle him without Delish cause she had a very soft spot for him.

In these couple of days, Alora sealed Ryuu's memories that revolved around the reason she was in the punishment chamber.

Amidst the happy hour, Ryuu's mind was suddenly swarmed by the unsealed memories of the past. It was kind of a drawback of sealing someone's memory. Except for the one that was sealed, the rest swarmed up your mind leaving you in a dizzy state.

He remembered the first time he met with Alora and the first ever fight he had with Delish after coming to the palace of demons.

When he came to the palace for the first time. For three months he secluded himself. He always dwelled inside his enclosure hardly eating just to keep up.

Delish was a mischievous kid yet he genuinely desired to befriend him. Like Ryuu, he was also isolated as nobody dared to play with him. Even though he was a prince he still was a kid.

So he tried to be friendly but Ryuu ignored him completely. He was calm and didn't talk to anybody. Delish tried to make him happy but failed. He was difficult to approach. He was distant and cold to everybody.

Delish thought he was feeling lonely without his family so he offered to be his family and also vowed to protect him from everything his real family would've done but for Ryuu, he was just an annoying brat. And when he touched on the topic of the family even though it was out of good intentions Ryuu got furious thinking he was poking him intentionally. Without a second thought, he lifted his hand and pointed out his two fingers towards Delish freezing his heart completely.

Delish's heart was the only thing that was frozen. Though he felt the shivering cold he is still the high-ranking demon since his birth. He was baffled at first but seeing Ryuu's killing aura he thought he was looking down on him. He put his entire body into blaze forcing his heart to melt but the ice was so dense it was taking a lot of time.

Ryuu was just a kid yet his potencies were something to fear. Amid anger, Delish burned half of the palace along with his body. Fortunately, half of his frozen heart melted but half was still there.

Delish had never talked with anybody with such empathy. And when he was looked down on for his good intentions he lost it completely. He was vulnerable. His eyes were gleaming red, half of the palace was on the blaze and his body was losing its resilience as he moved toward Ryuu.

"Was I too kind for a nobody like you to look down upon me?" Delish's voice was shivering. He approached Ryuu with his burning hand and pulled him nearer.

The fire was really hot even though Ryuu dealt with his ice it was liquefying faster than anticipated. His frozen heart was also melted but the raging fire wasn't extinguishing.

Ryuu was tired of safeguarding himself. His energy was heavily dropped. The layer of ice that was covering his hand was melting each time he protected it with another coating of ice. But due to fatigue, the ice quit forming. He passed out due to exhaustion.

Delish wasn't calmed yet he retrieved his fire and grabbed him. Both were very tired and fell to the ground. Unconsciously though Delish put his hand on Ryuu's head to protect it from the ground.
