Seeing her break down in front of me hurt me more than anything, hurt my wolf more than anything it felt like someone was clawing at my heart, my throat felt like I had swallowed sand and then the anger, the anger I felt was more than horrible. Once I calmed my mate and once, she fell asleep it was the most peaceful, I had ever saw her, the secret she carried about the children weighed heavy on her, the laws were right however if she had no title or claim the children were taken away if they belonged to the alpha. It was the one rule that did not change to continue the succession of the alpha blood lines, a law that I hated with a passion for the very thing happened to me.
