CHAPTER 51 Unexpected

　　Wren's POV

　　"Before we left this morning, we had contact with them, and even in the afternoon, they replied. But just now, they suddenly stopped replying to messages. I called them, but they didn't answer, and I couldn't link to them," Clover said.

　　"Do we need to go back and check on them now? Are they still at your old house?"

　　Clover clenched her fists, the corners of her eyes turning red, and her eyes becoming moist. "No, Wren, I thought they had gone home all along. Later, I realized that something was wrong, but I was scared and deliberately avoided investigating."

　　I held her tightly in my arms. "Clover..."

　　"But now I have basically confirmed that when they said they had safely left Alpha, they were probably lying to me. They never left."
