CHAPTER 43 Not An Accident

　　Wren's POV

　　I looked at Ralph and said seriously, "Okay, I'm listening."

　　"First of all, I'm sorry, Wren." Ralph squeezed my hand tightly. "I didn't want to involve you, but I didn't expect my father to have pulled you into this so early."

　　"So I think we need to discuss this first, and then you can decide what you want to do."

　　I nodded. "Okay."

　　"I'm planning to investigate something close to me."

　　"I guess it's about your mother, right?" I guessed.

　　He seemed surprised. "Where did you hear about her?"

　　"Well, it was Corris. She used to be a member of your pack, and she told me about Luna Eloise's past. Ralph, your mother sounded like she was a truly great woman."

　　Ralph smiled. "Yes, Wren, she was amazing. I miss her so much."

　　I hugged him.

　　He patted my back and continued, "So perhaps you also know that she died unexpectedly on her way back, right?"
