CHAPTER 42 I Don't Know How

　　Hayden's POV

　　Following a knock on the door, the normally quiet corridor suddenly echoed with footsteps.

　　"Master Hayden, Alpha is looking for you."

　　"Do I have to see him at this time?"

　　"Yes, Master Hayden, please come quickly."

　　I remained in place without moving. "What if I don't want to go?"

　　"Please, you must go. Alpha says there is something very important he needs to tell you."

　　I chuckled. "What could be so important?"

　　But I still put down the book covering my face and got up from the couch, leaving the room and walking towards his office.

　　The footsteps behind me didn't stop. I stopped with my hands in my pockets and turned to the maid behind me. "Why are you still following me? Do you think I will sneak away?"

　　She lowered her head. "I'm very sorry, Master Hayden. I didn't mean it that way, but it's Alpha's request. I need to make sure you actually go before I can leave."
