Chapter 16 POISONED

With that said, I ran into the battlefield without waiting for him to say anything. I went straight to prince Tyler who was about to kill my soldier and I blocked his sword with my pawns, I noticed the sword he is carrying 'seven star azure mystic dragon blade' the sword belonged to my ancestors but was stolen during my Father's reign, so it was in the hands of the vampires all this while, I must take it back me today.

I turned my attention to him in time as the smirk on his face increasd seeing my look and he attacked me more furiously, I turned back to my human form to attack him and we started fighting seriously.

I glanced at my side, Mato is surrounded by three shades, this is not a good thing, he is already losing. Though Mato is stronger than half vampires but it is only a tiny gab and now he is being surrounded by three half vampires, even keeping up till Now is already considered good enough and I don't think he can hold on for too long, I have to end this fight with him immediately before Mato gets killed. I felt my wolf asking to be free, but I can't let it take control of me because that will be disastrous and I don't want that now, whenever my wolf takes control, he doesn't recognize a for or friend. He kills anyone that he finds unpleasant, I shifted to my wolf when I noticed prince Tlyer about to give a sneak attack and I used my claw to bite at his hand intending to cut it off but he removed his hands immediately resulting to a deep cut that will probably take months to heal, vampires don't have the ability to heal quickly like werewolves, their injuries take longer time to heal than ours.

"The prince is injured"

One of his shades who was precisely one of the shades fighting Mato shouted when he noticed the big injury on the prince hand.

"Retreat immediately"

Another half vampire shouted, all the half vampires surrounded me to take their prince away and I let them take him away seeing that Mato is losing a lot of blood and his wounds is not healing, he is still bleeding till now which shows how serious his injury is. The vampires started retreating back to their kingdom and my instinct told me to chase them and not let them escape, I attempted to give chase to at least kill the vampire prince but stopped in my tracks when I heard a painful growl from my Beta, I rushed over t o him immediately, but before I could hold him, he fell uncounsious.

"He is bleeding seriously and his wounds is not healing, I need to get him to the palace right now"

I told my Gemma who was beside me.

"Take care of other things here, take the soldiers into the kingdom, you don't have to wait here, the vampires aren't attacking anytime soon "

"Yes your majesty"

With that being said, I rushed to the palace while mind linking my Gemma to call the royal physician to get to the palace now, I ran very fast in the woods, very scared.

Yes am scared of losing Mato, I can't lose him, I have to save him, I can't be able to bear it if anything happens to him. When I got to the palace, a healer (the royal physician apprentice) was already waiting there, I frowned when I saw the healer (the royal physician apprentice).

"Where is the royal physician"

"Your majesty, he told me to come here to check Beta Mato condition, he will rush back immediately to check if he....."

The healer (the royal physician apprentice)said boldly, he doesn't seem scared of me, like every other person who just saw me for the first time.

"Where is he"

I asked angrily.

"Is what he is doing more important than the life of my Beta"

I don't understand why he can't just come here himself instead of sending his apprentice here, I know I told my Gemma to tell him the situation is bad, but still he is still delaying, is he seeking death.

I was getting more and more irritated, I glared at the healer (the royal physician apprentice) icily.

"Is it"

I demanded.

"That.... That, I cannot reveal, your mom, pardon me "

"What"

He actually dare to tell me that to my face. Ha.. Looks like he is really seeking death.

"Please let me check him, your majesty, he is losing lot of blood,And he is also not healing, he is in a very dangerous situation, we really can't delay"

I forced myself to calm down at the mention of my Beta, I narrowed my eyes at him, where did he come from.

"Alright, check what's wrong with him"

Though I still doubt his medical skills, but I agreed and watched as he treated him.

I stared blankly as he performs his examination, i was too anxious to think straight, Mato was still uncounsious and he is losing lots of blood, Mato doesn't go uncounsious but when he does, it takes a long time for him to wake up, to top it all he has lost a lot of blood on the battlefield and he is still bleeding till now.

"I would have to bandage him first, your majesty, he is already losing lots of blood as it is, and it is..."

He went on and on with his rumbling.

"Can you just shut up and stop his bleeding already, or do you want to keep talking one particular sentence until he dies, you FOOL, why are you so talkative?"

I glared at him

"Are you sure you are even a doctor, do you know what you are doing"

I shouted at him angrily, he keeps repeating one sentence for one thousand and one times, is he even competent. Why do it have to take this long for the royal  physician to get here, I don't want to lose Mato, I can't afford to lose him, I shouldn't have let him fight those shades alone, I know he can't possibly fight against the three shades but I still let him fight them alone because of my  unconcealable hatred towards the vampire prince.

"Your Majesty, the royal physician is here, should he...."

"Send him in immediately, why do you have to take permission first"

I roared loudly at the royal guard who just barged in, can't he read the atmosphere, he is supposed to let him in without waiting for me to grant him access to the royal chamber.

"Greetings your majesty, where is the Beta"
