As Adam drove away from the scene where Xana had claimed that Sarah had attacked her, he began to wonder if the redhead had not played a fast one on him because she knew how worried he was about his mate. He reprimanded himself for having such a thought toward the gentle redhead who had been nothing but supportive after she heard that Sarah was missing from the mansion. Even though he wasn't interested in her, Adam didn't fail to notice how kind she was.
But still, he was very worried about his mate. Even if it was true that Xana had had an encounter with her and Sarah had attacked her, that still didn't guarantee to Adam that she was safe. The only time he would be able to rest assured about her safety was when he saw her with his two eyes, otherwise, his mind would never be at ease. Why had she left the house anyway? Adam thought as he drove to his house. He had decided to sleep over at the place since it was a lot closer to him than the packhouse mansion was.
