Chapter 1- Complicated

"I'm doing this for the best, Darling. I don't want you to ruin your life as I did."

My mother has always been like this. Making sure that my contact with other people was as minimal as possible. Sometimes I don't understand why she's doing this but then again it probably has something to do with her life. Making sure that I don't go through that same pains as her.I myself have no idea what she's trying to defend.I love my mum but sometimes she can be too overprotective.

"MUM! Can you please just listen to me for a second."

Unable to watch her child yelling at her, She looked away,knowing that this argument will just go on forever. I've never backed out of an argument without getting the outcome I want. Never. My mother always says that she hates that side of me.

We both sat it my lavender coloured bedroom,talking about what we both want to do about my life.the talking lasted until my mum finally agreed however....

"I want to make sure you promise me two things if I'm going to let you go to high school"

I couldn't stop the grin that was itching to my lips, Whatever they were they can't be too bad, right? Since we moved back to our old town, I couldn't stop thinking about him. What if we actually met this time. I'm sure if I see him again ill be able to recognise him just a little.

"Okay mum.Whatever you say. As long as I can still make friends" I said as if it didn't bother me at all.

"No.1. You have to let me decide on what classes you'll be taking in school."She said with a very stern look on her face.

well...My dream of becoming a gamer is definitely crossed off. Shes most likely going to make me become a doctor for real, not that I'm complaining I don't mind as long as i can make a living. But what about the second promise...?

"No.2. you will let me explain the dangers of the world...."

What ? The hell is she talking about-

Oh. I know what she's talking about. The strange beasts that also live among the humans in this world. The animal-like creatures who have strange unreal powers like you've ever imaged. I have never met a werewolf or even a wizard in my entire life since my mum never even let me see one for myself. And since both my parents were human I was protected from them and their magic. But I've also heard that they are now allowing them to even go to school and have jobs of their own so it wouldn't be too surprising to see many people with big fluffy ears sticking out of their heads. And cute wagging tales. Just imagining them makes me squeal.

I know what your thinking. Why am I NOT scared of them

"Mum....I'm sure it's not that dangerous that I shouldn't go high school" My mum gave a small tiered sigh and then she took my hands in hers caressing them. Her eyes glinted as tears started to roll down her cheeks. I felt as if my heart was saying this was more serious than it looked.

"My little girl has grown up too fast."

Before I knew it, it was only about a week till I'm transferring to my new high school. I couldn't help but feel a little nervous. Suddenly my phone pinged and I saw that it was Falcon that sent me a message :

Falcon (20:45)

Hey. I hope I didn't disturb you or anything. just wanted to see if you wanted to play Attack On Dungeons again.

Me (20:47)

yeah! sure I'll be online in a few minutes. hey, guess what I'm finally going to high school!! I'm sooooo happy!

Falcon (20:47)

I'm so happy for you !!

I giggled so hard. He knows that face will make me laugh.

I really do hope I get to meet him someday

My first day of high school is here. Even though i may have been super excited then, i surely wasn't now. I was so nervous i could feel my heart as if i were running a marathon. I was sitting in the car with my mum, who wouldn't let go of my hand the entire ride to my new high school ; Phoenix Drop High.

One glance and i was already getting dizzy ; the building looked more like a hospital than a school,with its huge white painted doors and the gigantic glass windows. Everything looked ancient and modern at the same time, Then i looked to what was in front of me and the huge crowds waiting for the doors to open.

It was time for me to start my high school journey. I wasn't quite ready but I have to make a start somewhere right? My mum was standing in front of her huge range rover, wondering why she has such a big car for only two people. she says to me, "Make sure you be good for mommy, okay."

"MUM! I'm not a kid no more Ill be just fine." I stomped of to join the crowd until i could hear her screaming at me "AND NO BOYS!!" At that moment i could feel the stares that threaten me as I got to the fountain right in front of the school ; a statue of a huge bird that was sitting on a horse, The birds beak wide open where the water was gushing out. It was very elegant looking more beautiful than the pictures I'd seen on their website. I couldn't stop staring at it in awe.

Then suddenly,I felt someone shoving me ,Almost loosing my balance. I quickly gripped on to the edge of the fountain before I was about to fall in. I turned around, about to snap at them until i heard "Watch where your going you, damn midget"in a low voice. That's when i saw a boy, towering over me, with a plaster on the bridge of his nose and another on his left cheek clearly bruised from a fight. He was human. Thank goodness I didn't run into a werewolf or else I would have been a goner.

"I think YOU should watch were your-Hey!" before i could even finish my sentence, He walked off, completely ignoring my presence. Whats his problem could he at least listen to me

I walked after him, going to teach him a lesson. He was already walking up the huge stairs to the main doors, Almost blending in with the crowd.I attempted to go after him trying to catch up with him until....

My foot slipped and I found my self falling backwards! "Aah!!"

Thats when i felt it. A hand was at my waist so that i wouldn't go crashing down the stairs, I looked up to see a face that i could only describe as beautiful.

"Are you alright? I didn't hurt you anywhere, i hope"

Maybe it's the prince charming I'm looking for....
